I started in BC on a human priest and very much had fear ward. The BC dungeons timewalking without fear ward (yay pruning… sarcasm alert) are what made me decide that timewalking really wasn’t for me.

Not sure about devouring plague but very sure about fear ward.

Looked it up on wowpedia. They are different times, but fear ward was available in BC to all priests. Not being into the dark side, I wasn’t sure about that one.

[Patch 2.3.0] (2007-11-13): Fear Ward is now available to all priests at level 20. Duration reduced to 3 minutes, [cooldown] increased to 3 minutes. (Previously only available to [draenei] and [dwarves], with a duration of 10 minutes and a cooldown of 30 seconds)

[Patch 3.0.2] (2008-10-14): Devouring Plague made available to all priests instead of just Undead.

I definitely would like Shadowguard over Devouring Plague if I had the choice between them, but the ultimate choice is just to remain how it was. So Starshards it is!

I really dont think i could play priest as another race, devouring plague is just awesome and does so much damage. 1 DP and 1 SWP can kill most mages if your only other action is dispeling shields.
