i got all my names btw
Stalagg and Whitemane
Blizzard is to blame and it is easily within their power to rectify it without players losing the names they may have taken PT time for and paid a half-month of a useless sub to get.
Herod, lol.
Then you are just trolling. Got it.
I’m coming for the chaos. I want to see it, remember it.
how is that trolling? Herod players have an option already, switch realms easy.
They are not locked in
Blizz did their job, now its up to them.
nobody is entitled to preferential treatment when systems are in place already for them to move.
Its the users hang up, not blizz
This I believe is so wrong. Join a server that isn’t full and you will have no issues. Layering was implemented solely for the reason to allow large servers with no login issues at launch. This can potentially backfire at Phase 2 when they remove layering. But at launch they will have multiple layers ready to allow several server sized layers worth of logins.
Personally, I don’t want Blizz to create more servers until after launch, unless of course Stalagg gets too full. I expect a lot of retail to bail out before level 60.
If players want the names they got on day 1, it is not an option.
Blizz did a horrendous job, hastily applied a dirty bandaid to a sucking chest wound, and washed their hands of the situation.
You keep suggesting that people want “preferential treatment”, when all they want is for blizzard to correct the issue they caused.
Blizzard alone had the power to stop overpopulation. It is akin to you defending a theater owner who oversold seats and 10s of thousands of patrons either have to stand in the theater or wait hours to get in.
Petty 2019
What’s more important to avoid than overcrowding and long queues at launch is a dead server 2 months later because most of the retail kids left. If I can’t play on day one, I’ll try again day 2.
Ah yes, players who took time away from their jobs on a work day and paid for a month’s sub time for 2 weeks of a sub in order to reserve a name… totally petty.
More akin to said theater multiplex owner selling tickets to all 3 showings of the same movie in three different theaters, all with the same start times. But everyone wants theater #1 and complains that there are no more seats in that theater.
Sure, but the “multiplex” owner only had a single screen showing what patrons wanted, and allowed seat reservations to happen. They subsequently said the movie would not start until hours after additional screens just opened up, and patrons were told that unless they give up their reserved seating they would suffer waiting for hours.
The theater owner could easily allow patrons from the initial screen to have the same seats in the new screens without loss. However individuals like yourself and others are just telling the original ticket holders “tough luck”.
No, the multiplex owner had 3 screens with the same movie, starting the same time. It is not the owner’s fault that so many people didn’t want to be in the theater where there were some kids, or several rows of people speaking a different language and so all tried to pile into one theater.
Edit: My point is that the community has its share of blame in the Herod situation.
Well I planned for this and only reserved my main on my first realm, leaving 2 reservations available for me to use if new realms open up. I also didn’t go to Herod lol
I’m not going to play on Herod, but I’ll definitely create a character there just to watch it burn for a little while on launch. Seems more entertaining than fighting a thousand people for boars.
I’m thinking the only thing I’ll get done on day one are my bank alt’s.
