I’d love to have my hair under my hat instead of my character looking like I’m going through a mid-life crisis and balding. Why don’t we have this?

We need this for all helmets to be honest. I would love for Shadina’s black hair to be coming out the bottom of her hood like they have it for Alleria and Sylvanas with their headwear. It’d make helmets so much better for both men and women to have that added level of realism.

I was looking at the images of the blood elf with hair and omg it looks so good. There should be a toggle option for these sort of things.

i just don’t wear them on anything maybe glasses bout it. it ain’t never getting fixed.

it’s probably something to do with how the models / gear were made all those years ago. and i’m not a dev but i’m assuming this would take a lot of overhauling

Just a simple checkbox to force hair rendering on would be great, but I don’t think it’d actually be that difficult to write automated hair masking that would prevent visible clipping for the overwhelming majority of headpieces.

They’d just need to start from the bottom of the hair geometry and find the first points of intersection between it and the helm geometry, and then modify the hair texture to be 100% transparent from that point up. It’d slip up and look funny sometimes but it wouldn’t be any worse than outright turning off hair rendering.

Oh yea its not gunna be a super easy fix but like

It’s been a feature requested since vanilla, so they could have been working on it for years instead of the not working on it they’ve done

Blizzard is making a new race by reusing the DH’s meta rig. Do you think they would bother changing how every hat in the game works?
