The last batch of allied races I really liked were the BfA ones. Largely because several weren’t just reskins, or were culturally significant like Zandalari.
The DF and TWW ones haven’t been for me, at least not enough to stick.
Dark Irons and Kul’Tirans are the only two I really vibed with aha, and Mechagnomes.
Wake me up when they release something like Tuskarr or Hozen.
I’ll even take ascended Nerubians, give us something different and not totally recycled.
It’s going to be Haranir. Just like the Earthen gave the Horde a Dwarf-ish race, the Haranir will give the Alliance a Troll-ish race. Kind of a half-troll, half-elf.
I’ve also suggested that in the past. Just a skin colour option like Rexxar’s would be fine with me really.
The only race that was added that I just didn’t like was the mechagnomes. I’m positive there were only a handful of people asking for them.
Something I’d like to see is more monter-esque races be added. Give us gnolls, murlocs, ogres, arrakoa, sethrak, furbolg or just anything that fits the humanoid criteria.
Races they could do and people would flip out:
-Naga
-Ogre
-Drakonoid
-Ethereal
Some cool races they could do that a lot of people would be pleased with:
-Jin’yu
-Vykrul
-Tuskarr
-Hozen
Races the are likely to do because Blizzard is lazy and unispiried:
-Haronir
-Ascended Nerubian
-Arathi
I like the dracthyr… I just wish they could be monks, druids or paladins.
The earthen are eh… oh boy another dwarf race.
I would love to see arrokoa or some other bird race made playable (even if they had to pluck the lore from the twisting nether). We have pandas, foxes, wolves, bovines and now lizards, so a bird race doesn’t seem that far fetched.
If Blizzard feels arrkoa died off with their WOD timeline, then what about introducing Chi Ji’s crane followers that could be humanoid birds?
We could also go in other directions like pirate parrots from some unknown coast because reasons… or even have some type of bird of prey species of humanoid that lives on yet another undiscovered land.
I really like Dracthyr and I would really like Earthen if they’d port over the High Speaker Brinthe hairstyle for female Earthen but realistically the only race that I’ve wanted for some time now is Saberon because it would be really cool and really fun to play as one.

Vrykul, Arathi, Ethereals for me. My fav is Kyrian but i don’t think that would happen in the foreseeable future
most of the new races they’ve added have been boring at best and lame and uninspiring furry garbage or just garbage at worst
I largely think its related to the effort giving them armor would take.
I thought they were training AI to do this for them.

I think they would fall under cool but not anyone going crazy for them. Anthromorphic races have not had a great deal of fanfare in this game.

The races I done like are the Dragonflight and DRIVE races. Never got into them even though I tried a couple.
Not saying I wouldn’t make and play something else, but at this point in my life, I really just want playable Saberon. It’s killing me I don’t have my tiger warrior yet, but alas…I wait.
I agree that the Earthen are prob the most boring of all the allied race we’ve got. The dragons at least are unique looking and have some perks like gliding and you can make them look like Spyro. But the Earthen are literally just the dwarves we already had but with rocks on their skin. They’re so meh.
It makes me sad that blizz knows what ally races we want and chooses to do stuff like Earthen. How many horde players were really begging to play a dwarf? I’ve played horde since Wrath and not once have I heard someone go, “you know what Org needs, a dwarf!”. And Alliance now has more dwarf options than any other race.
If they don’t wanna make a new race, give us more customization for races we already have. Fel Orcs. Leper Gnomes. Give the belf undead ranger option to freakin Undead. Lightborne Undead. Larger Trolls like the drakkari.
Instead, we got rock dwarves.
Make two races that rival the blood elves in popularity without making them elves, short or humans is laughably contradictory.
There’s a reason elves are always the most played race in any video game.
The only race that would be as popular are the Lalafell from Ff which are a short race, or cat girls/cat boys which are humanoids.

i would love to have ogres but i feel like they’d have to be compromised quite a bit, moknathal would be great because they could give the customizations to make them look more ogre-y (horns, face shape, facepaint) or more orcish
