Now the original servers are moving all the way to Cataclysm, I think there’s interest for a few servers that can return us back to vanilla to climb the TBC/WOTLK ladder again.
Cataclysm is where I feel the game took a big step back, and while Mists wasn’t bad I did not enjoy Warlords of Draenor at all.
I’d rather restart the journey than continue in that direction.

Majority of players have been voting for WoD classic so highly likely it will occur.

I’m glad that people who want WoD classic are going to be able to play it, but a server or 2 for those who missed the ride on the original classic train and/or want to start anew would appreciate a few servers set aside for them.
It shouldn’t be that hard to set-up, it’s not like the devs would have to start from scratch. They’ve created a great model on exactly what needs to be done already.
Make 3 permanent and progress through it yourself. Win for all parties
All those expansions are available right now.
I would mean any announcement of either wrath plus or tbc plus would be welcome but might take a while as it might come after cata starts to fail. Cata aka wrath minus will be a while as releasing content seems to be a temp solution. tbc might make a good plus with new raid modes and the token and the world is still enjoyable, and it has the raids with in demand items to give tokens their value.
They can either start new freshes or private servers will do it. /shrug
I hate to say it, but at this point the actual play quality of the PS may actually be better than this 1.15 patch.

As someone who just started playing WoW but has been lurking for years. I would love this and hope it happens. I completely missed the opportunity to experience TBC and basically have for Wrath as well, since it’s already winding down. I want to be able to experience those eras of WoW when they were fresh and right now I can’t really do that outside of private servers which I have no plans of doing since most have weird features added in like increased XP rates, dungeon finder, etc. that take away from the Classic experience.
So yeah, hopefully Blizzard steps up and offers a fresh journey for those who want it, even just 1-3 servers would be enough to make those that want it happy.

I agree; I think that’d be a perfect chance for those of us interested in a classic 2.0 run. Everyone else can just keep-on, keepin-on and everyone wins.
Id love a rotating seasonal server where we could get off at Classic or ride the train to Wrath. Could clone or just transfer at the end of Vanilla, and at the end they could make the current Wrath rotation an Era setup, wipe and start again allowing us to transfer to the Wrath Era at the end.
Really just need to have a group of servers that progress for 2 years and 6 months or so. Then you wipe them and throw everyone on era. Then reset.

For those who keep saying “those three expansions are active” you are correcting your observation but I think you are missing the point. I feel this has more to with end game content. I have been raiding on a static classic server a wile now but would like to move on to TBC. Unfortunately no one is raiding TBC because the current Xpac is LK and soon no one will be raiding that when CATA is released. Restarting a server group would open up a opportunity to experience those end games again.

I dont mind cata but its reallt the same world as retail now. At least the classic world up to wotlkc had a difference between retail and classic in kalimdor and EK.
Okay. Even if I do agree with that point, it doesn’t excuse the radio silence we got about what we were actually want to hear about: Classic Plus. And…to gutshot SoD the way they did, that’s just heartbreaking. 1 and done with the phase to come…yeah, real incentive to keep playing.
