Right, the bare minimum. The bare minimum for me, then, is 30% of the required damage. If I stop dealing damage after hitting my quota, you’d flip out. So why should you get away with only contributing the bare minimum to a key group?
Edit: And again, since role names are now, apparently, job descriptions, I’ll no longer be kicking or using personal defensives, as neither of these contribute to my damage numbers.
Wrong, you as a healer I wouldn’t expect you to do anything more than keep me alive. If you WANT to do damage, more power to you. But I will never expect you to do any unless you’re a disc priest and that’s the main and most effective way to heal.
I hope they do, but I never expect it because I doubt they know that they exist, let alone have them on their bars to smash it. Would it be nice? Yes. But I don’t really expect it to happen at this point and it’s another reason why healing isn’t as fun, because I have to panic heal people that think I need my meters padded.
DAILY reminder that there was a time not long ago healers were on these very forums crying and complaining over and over about how being was so easy that people required then to do some DPS in the dead time and so now Blizzard keeps nerfing them so it’s difficult to heal.
I’ve seen it before. The most recent though was back Season One, Court of Stars. Some dude that could NOT deal with the fact that we hadn’t three chested it or something. Started out by whispering me, trying to get me to gang up on the dps. And I was like, Nah dawg, you messed up on that first pull that wiped us. It was funny as he kept on ranting after we two chested lol.
I can also say that it was much worse in BFA/Slands, and I had more than a few people in groups saying that shiz.
Granted I run with a LOAD of healing toons at end game, but aye, they’ve been out there.
But, whatever. People will get used to it and they’ll start healing more. It will just weed out the players who don’t want to learn to up their game, healing wise, and who just want to fall back on dps’ing.
