Mechagnomes are a good start, but we also need Leper Gnomes, Gnogres (half Gnome half Ogres) and Corgen (Gnomes with the Worgen curse).

I think the Horde are getting Corgen, actually. Some desert race of scavengers.
Those are just Vulpera. They are just as cute, but not exactly the same thing.
These images will fuel nightmares. I love it.

I’d rather have a city, than a new Gnome race.
Lorewise you have a city. Mechagon.
Gameplay-wise, nobody is getting a city.
Blizzard is tired of making cities that nobody will use. That’s why they just destroyed two of them.
Mechagon isn’t our city. Gnomeregan is our city.
It’s been all but ignored for 15 years, with a brief ‘nod’ (if you can call it that) before it was nuked.
Gnomeregan is irradiated. You can’t live there just like people can’t live in Chernobyl.
But in the Mechagnome unlock Questline, Mechagnomes and Gnomes unite as a single nation under Mekkatorque, who is crowned King of all Gnomes.
So that’s your city now.
It was such a waste that they made most of mechagon a trash heap instead of an actual city.
I have got to finish the Mechagon story, just have to run the Mythic dungeon…
