Ok so this post isn’t designed for arguments about the mark simply for more clarification from blizz on how it works and some improvements.
I understand the vote system and that’s fine and there been countless threads on people doing alt F4.
What happens though to a player that is disconnected by the game, has a internet issue and gets Dc or players get a power blackout?
This mark is visible to people to Queing why doesnt the mark show for the player in question as well, so they know?
How many runs does it take to remove the mark if you do end up getting it,no information on that has been provided is it 1 run 2-3+ runs players need a clarification on exactly how this new system works.
Having a key bricked is annoying and there’s many reasons why but players need more information on how long we may be penalised because things do happen that are beyond ones control .
They have no way of knowing if you have an Internet disconnect. The only thing they can track is your connection to the server. So no matter how that connection is severed that counts as a disconnect. The only way you have to battle that is to get better Internet and not play on a potato of a computer.
Then when you do finally get logged back in, go complete a couple keys of the same level and watch the mark go away.
he’s saying all of this information should be provided to the player, not to have them left guessing.

If you tell people how many times they get to ragequit the game before they’re penalized, they’re just going to ragequit more.
And I’m saying there’s no way for blizzard to track that. The only way to notify somebody is to either log back in and send them a message or already be in discord with them and let them know what happened.
As for the player themselves actually being able to see the mark i’m surprised it doesn’t show in the mythic plus group finder window, even for the person who is applying. However, the only way to get this mark is to repeatedly and excessively leave mythic keystones. One accidental disconnect every few days or so because of bad Internet is not going to give somebody a mark. however, somebody bouncing out of two or three per day a few days in a row definitely could do it. So if you don’t want the mark, don’t leave the dungeon several times.
I mean… if you leave before the timer and without a vote, you get the mark, right? Then the mark disappears after multiple keys with good behavior, correct? If I’m wrong, please educate me on it.
I think you have to do that several times before you get the mark.

Giving the players specific information would just do more harm, people would work around it and behave poorly as much as they know they can get away with.
Alt-F4 already attempts a graceful exit, if the client isn’t smart enough to send a final ‘shutting down, bye’ packet then that’s just poor design.
They wouldn’t be able to detect unplugging the cable or disabling network, but basic goober moves should definitely be noted and count toward the mark. The question is how long to wait though. If someone has to reboot, then punishing them instantly doesn’t make sense.
people that smash potatos get the smasher mark.
