Yep, that’s right. Lots of different rune combos to play with and that will only increase as more talent points and runes are added
But again, classic-only players won’t let this happen. It’s lame. Years of classic, era, and playing classic private servers weren’t enough for them 
No one told anyone they have to swap. They want to be able to swap. Maybe actually read the post next time.
That’s not truly the real issue with getting the feature. They need to figure out how to add it without affecting Era and hardcore.
respec fees are a better gold sink 
I would love this change, we are in a season that has change the base play style of vanilla some QoL to SoD should not be shun. Having this for my druid tank/resto would be nice.
Crazy thing is dual spec not only has the initial purchase cost but it still cost you to respec those individual trees
Some classes can get away with pve/pvp with the same talents but I find Warlock is not one of them. Try pvping as destro you can barely even get a cast off versus someone decent unless maybe a bg when no one focuses you. SL build is the only real good pvp spec in classic for locks, maybe deep aff as a runner up. Not to mention with the rune system now, it makes it more complicated. My respec fees are high swapping from shadow/demo pact build to destroy or aff depending on what I am doing. I can’t imagine other hybrid classes.
We already had Classic TBC and Classic Wrath with Dual spec
Dual spec is unironically Classic, It’s a big gold sink and de-frustrates every 2 role filling Hybrid, Raider/PvPer and even absolute Goobers like me who want to try dumb things in groups with my friends but have a comfy tried and true spec on the second page so I don’t make our 30 minute dungeon run take an extra 20 minutes while I fly to a city and fly back
Can I afford to just swap back and forth willy-nilly? Yeah I can and I do, making my pay a sum up-front to be able to do so only changes how much of Other People’s time I waste
It’s not MY time I’m wasting to respec, it’s 4-9 other real life human beings time that gets wasted when someone has to Hearth/Fly to respec. And honestly I respect the people I play with enough to not want to do that to them
Gold sink? Have you seen the prices on things now? They literally doubled/tripled in a matter of 2 days because of all the bots and gold buyers. I sold lynx boots for 14g the other day now I see them at almost 40g. They should have called it SoB (season of bots). Nevertheless I’m still having fun just hope blizz treats this like OSRS and listens to the community.
I think it’s less about Gold buying and more about players getting to 25 and finishing up quests. Playing casually players have far more Gold at 25 then many had at 60 because of the max level quest rewards with the 25 cap.

I Want to because I find multiple aspects of my classes fun, Destruction is fun, Affliction is fun, Healing is fun, Shadow is fun, Mutilate is fun, new Rogue tanking is fun, Raiding is fun, PvP is fun

and as far as imagination goes it takes a whole lot more imagination to come up with a spec that works for all aspects of the game than it does to just have whatever the best spec is for each activity ready to go at a moments notice that you looked up online. sad

This isnt an argument. Its an emotional bully tactic to shut up anyone who disagrees with you.
While i would like dual spec, there are valid reasons to be against it.
It would be very convenient, but people having to pay respec fees does help reduce the gold inflation, even if it isnt by much in the grand scheem of things, but that is more so caused by the bot army and gold buyers making inflation happen far faster.
You help yourself to believing that. Seems speculative and suspicious though. Personally I’m inclined to believe they want it because it adds more options, and options are fun.
Out of curiosity, what is the argument for not putting dual spec in the game? I have heard some people say to stop inflation which is really silly considering the average person doesnt have much gold, and gold buyers and farmers dont care about that price at all, doesnt make a difference.
There’s 0 logical reason to be against dual spec
We can already change spec for basically nothing, just have to play the menu game putting your talent points back where you want them
