Ever since the beginning of cross realm lfg your reputation on your server or general community doesn’t matter. I propose something simple like a smiley face next to your toolbar to determine how friendly a person is. A person is granted 1 token per account per 24 hours to give out to any player that is fun or bad to play with. The smiley face is shown in premade lfg finder next to the persons name, ilvl, and class. I’d gladly invite a person who has a positive reputation over a person who is 2 - 5 ilvls more and has a sad/angry face next to their name.
regrettably you cant trust kids OR many adults with a tool like that.
Didnt pull fast enough? Flagged.
Pulled too fast? Flagged
DPS ran out of your 40 yard range and died? Flagged.
People think I’m toxic yet I did a 12 hour charity stream yesterday and do 4-6 hours of charity every weekend. My smiley face meter would be off the charts. Yet I’m also that guy who gets every other post he makes flagged. All systems can be abused
I think we should implement what Nintendo does to a players reputation if they ragequit back in Splatoon.
You get rated based on your ability to stay in games, even if they lose or win. If you ragequit from too many of them. You are banned from joining a set period of time and you get an angry next to your name making you undesirable in Splatoon games.
People would just find ways to game that system too. If you got runs with negative feedback you could just run with friends only and chuck out extra smilies to offset it
Exactly. This system would be more toxic then IO. I’m holding your smiley emoji hostage until you give me that trinket!
FF14 has a system where each person can award one person a dungeon a “smiley-face” token, 90% of the time it goes to the healer or the tank. I got lost during a raid so couldn’t participate in most of the boss fights & still got tokens from half the group (was heals)
Also as the healer, I usually gave the token to the tank, unless he really sucked, then it went to whichever DPS was friendliest in chat.
You just make it so you can give a person a atta boy or nothing. that way you can’t downvote a person only praise the good player in your group, and only able to hand out 1 per instance.
and i dont see how it would affect raider IO. i dont care that “pucykillr69” is a meany butt, i care that he has the ilvl and the IO to complete my key on time.
They just don’t like your name? Flagged
You got a dumb transmog? Flagged
You get a piece of personal loot and wont/cant trade it? Flagged
You play a race they don’t like? Flagged
Seriously, it would be very easily abused not to mention that streamers/people with lots of friends could gang up on others.
I like to play a game called Maplestory on and off and it has a sort of Karma system where you can upvote or downvote someone each day and based on your community rating can affect some things.
I remember being a low level player and a higher level player came to my grinding spot (Someone who had no earthly reason to be there are their level) and started killing EVERYTHING! I couldn’t get a single kill and tried to talk with the guy and to ask them to move to a different shard since I had been there already. In Maplestory its proper mannerism not to take someone elses spot if thye were there first. Guy just ignored me and kept killing everything, even after moving to a different map near by. So, in frustration I down voted him and then changed not only shards but maps to an entirely different spot.
He then proceeded to spend his time tracking me down along with his guild/friends and all of them en mass down voted me.
Mob Mentality, especially with certain influences and guilds, would abuse systems like this for absurd reasons including petty feuds.
Yep this is basically what would happen (commendations). You could be a DPS who spends the whole run coaching the whole group on the mechanics and the heals and tank would still get all the coms.
Yep lol
In that case i think most people would end up ignoring it as soon as they got a negative com that time they DCd mid boss fight and the game auto flags them. Or that time they left a group early because the Tank DCd and the game just decided they were abandoning the team.
FFXIV has a system where at the end of the dungeon you can pick one player to give a like to. You cant flag them but you can give them a like or whatever they call it.
