We need a pvp server in tww

The one thing I will say that’s a difference between war mode and dedicated PVP servers is the consolidation effect. By spreading out players who want to PVP across all server groups, it decreases the likelihood you’ll find others with war mode on compared to if there existed some number of PVP servers where everyone who is there self selected to be there.

Pvp servers are useless

Yeah this is the new “retail” players.

One thousand percent. War Mode fixed two of the major issues of Player versus Player servers: players being spread out over different servers and having at least many or more likely every single one of those servers dominated by a single faction.

Very unlikely blizzard is gonna cater to a pvp server and make more work for themselves.
Warmode means one server type instead of two to update.

I really don’t see the harm in making at least 1 pvp server. PVP needs help, that would probably help.

For about an hour, until Asmon and his followers turned up there and ran it into the ground.

The problem with pvp servers is people. That sadly cannot be fixed. :sunglasses:

Hey it would give the people a common enemy.

Even on grobb its hard to get the attack the city runs some remember fondly.

I’ve called out a few attacks on silvermoon in grobb.

Anyone coming? Several minutes later…No.

Must be raid or rated MMR night I guess. Okay, back to other things.

Now grobb can see them. Just not when I play. Which is what complicates pvp server life. The server being great for that 4 hours of US primetime is great. For those on at that time.

Historically its the other 20 hours of day going to crap is where the issues arose. As this tends to be once cause of leavers.

That server balanced at 2000 EST does some no good when horde owns it 0400 EST. That would when say OCE plays roughly.

I think so too. We could have 100 normal servers. But there should be an option for a pvp server too

Just let them have their gank fest. Let them camp each other. Personally I don’t care about PvP servers that much because it’s not fun.

Then let us have it and you can stay in a normal server. Everyone is happy

pvp servers are essential for
players who want to kill quest npc s
as well…
imagine being a new player, just
trying out the game, and finding that
you cannot progress because some bored
level 70s have killed all of the quest npcs
in goldshire/on a pve server…
is this a game you’re going to
buy/ a game where bored people can stop
you from playing?
dedicated pvp servers accommodate this fetish.

I am not into PvP but I agree. PvP servers need to perfectly seperated from other servers outside of dungeons. PvP on as mandatory for PvP servers.

Maybe even more server types. Like roleplaying/story/adventure servers. “Hardcore” raiding and high M+ simply do not exist on these servers. Max item level is somewhat nerfed. This would be the environment for people that want more of a stress free environment. In dungeons bosses could have a timer that count down before they spawn to prevent a stressfull rushing playstyle.

The Warbank would simply not transfer items between server types in such a system. We cannot have a hardcore raider twinking their alt on the roleplaying server too hard. In practice said alt would simply not be able to take such items out of the bank. The offending item would simply be “greyed out”.

Belongs on all PVP rewards as flavor text.

Why do we need this?

Why do you need to be evoker? Oh, do you like to play as evoker? I don’t like that class so maybe it shouldn’t exist

Let me rephrase because you apparently didn’t understand the question:

Why do we need a dedicated PVP server as opposed to the current warmode system?

The point I was trying to make still stands. I understood the question.

Because some players prefer different play styles. Some players don’t like the way war mode operates, including me. And prefer the PvP server experience.

Just like players choose different classes, play styles, everything. It’s about playing the game the way you want to.
