We need a no pvp server

My guess is they will make the NPCs unkillable once the factions go full hug mode lol.

Um, in retail, there are no PvP realms.

just join an rp realm

I’ve never considered people killing NPCs is PvP activity. Its not that like the NPCs can fight back, and they certainly aren’t players. And if you aren’t in warmode, you can’t attack the people doing it, unless you decide to flag yourself for PvP. Not everyone wants to do that and even if they did its possible it wouldn’t solve the problem, as the perps could just keep coming back since they are getting a reaction.

I think that making NPCs neutral or unattackabe in some other way is the best way to solve it.

But Blizz does. If you look about ten posts up, I quoted the blue post about this topic. Which is also the same info in the support articles.

If you’re flagged it’s PvP. Whether due to NPCs or not.

Possibly. Which is why they can be reported if it keeps happening for days.

Yep. We already have neutral NPCs in this game that can’t be targeted for combat. No reason quest givers shouldn’t be the same way.

And that’s fine, but I’ve often disagreed with what Blizzard does or says. Just because they say that, doesn’t mean I have to like it, or think it shouldn’t be changed.

Never said it wasn’t so.

And that shouldn’t be allowed to go on. If they want to save themselves the problem of people complaining and reporting such things, just make the damned NPCs unkillable. Problem solved. If others want to partake of PvP, then get into warmode and indulge their murderous instincts there, I saay.

Why is there no ice cream? Who ate all the ice cream? I need it, Precious!

Because you already have it…

Why would a no pvp server still have BGs? Would they be all comp stomp?

And think it is fair if you’re questing if you go to an area where you’re not supposed to and get flagged for PVP to be placed into Warmode if you didn’t Opt-In for Warmode? Think it is fair if doing a quest that requires you to be flagged for PVP, (yes, I’m looking at one in Hellfire), to be automatically be placed into Warmode when didn’t Opt-In for Warmode?

Best thing to do, as Sendryn mentioned:

War mode at present can only be activated in a major city - flagging can be activated anywhere and deactivated anywhere - to make the change your suggesting would cause havoc to War mode as it would allow griefers to get away much more easily… If you are looking for a PVE server - might I suggest Classic.

im sure they could figure out something to prevent pvp when war mode is off.

What we need is for them to put more resources into PVP, like they do with PVE. Also, you could just shut off war mode…

Yes, actually. If you are doing a quest that requires pvp flagging, you should be in warmode. Doing otherwise is cheezing the quest.

Easy. Make the quest NPCs not attack-able. Problem solved.

That is not how it works. You do not get to decide that at all.

What about a no PvE server where everyone can stand around and just kind of… stand… around.

So basically, just stand around sw/org?

Primarily, I imagine that is where most of the nothing will happen, but I would guess nothing will be going on all over the map. It’ll be the first time in MMO history that all zones are not only functioning as hoped for, they will all be consistent.

On my server, there’s at least 1 person (usually a tank) attacking Org at least once a week / every other week.

A month or 2 ago I killed Velen on my Blood dk with a hunter friend.

Doesn’t seem like people really form groups for it anymore tho. I saw a group of like 10 Horde attacking the boss in SW exactly once, and saw a pretty large group of alliance in Orgrimmar exactly once at the portal for the Diablo event, and those are the only times I’ve seen opposite faction raid groups attacking cities in the years I’ve been playing.
