I don’t think it’s reportable, is it?
But yeah, I was leveling the other day on my human, got to goldshire and everything was dead. Was not in WM.

if someone flags themselves, that does not automatically flag you… what are you talking about?
I want just one PvPvERP realm.
I know that’s technically what they all are but I need it in writing.
Don’t go into enemy territory.
Turn warmode off.
Who is “we” and “us”?
I just kinda wish the PvP zones had heights. I keep flying high over the eastern kingdoms and being randomly flagged in places that I assume I’m safe lol
But ma quest givers!
You can only enter Warmode if you click on the option via your talents page, if I remember correctly inside Stormwind or Orgrimmar. If you right click your portrait and enable your PVP flag, you do not enter Warmode.
Thats not pvp
And number four…
Only if it goes on for days. Otherwise, PvP problems have PvP solutions. Not to mention Chromie Time exists and choosing a different zone.
Chromie time usually solves this in my experience, I’ve leveled so many characters from 1-60 and have only once seen quest givers actually being camped in Chromie time, and it was only just last week. Granted, the guy looked like he built the character just for that, it was a lvl 61 tank druid with DF crafted gear that made him unkillable, even by party synced 70s, but he literally just sat at one farm in Elwynn and killed one quest giver the whole time. I just didn’t do that quest.
A lot of the more popular zones in Chromie time will almost never see the other faction or don’t have faction tagged NPCs, especially from WoD and onwards, so you could always go do that too. Can’t think of any faction tagged NPCs in DF either.
You’re kicked out at 61, though. Was he grouped with someone?
Seemed to be there by himself, dunno if someone was stealthed elsewhere in the zone though.
Odd. I would’ve reported that for exploiting, personally. 61 is when you get the countdown timer and kicked out. So whatever he did to stay in is unintended.
Actually, I think Foxmuddler has hit the nail on the head with this:
If someone engages with NPC’s that flags them for PVP, it still isn’t technically PVP, as it is NPC’s and not other players. You’re engaging with the environment and not with players.
According to a blue post about this very subject, that was the answer given by them: PvP problems have PvP solutions. Killing quest givers is considered PvP, because you got yourself flagged for PvP and is usually only reportable if they’ve been doing it for days.
Funnily enough, the ways you get flagged for PvP with warmode off is normally not PvP. It can certainly devolve (or evolve depending on how you look at it) to actual PvP. You have to either just exist in an area, namely cities, of the opposing faction, or go to any place that has PvP NPCs and just be in combat with them, you don’teven have to touch them. The times I’ve ended up flagged for PvP are almost always because of holiday events that have me either going directly to Horde cities or Horde settlements. Although there was that time I got shoved into Stormwind while doing the Legion rogue questline and I was only level 68 and on a Horde toon. I thought I would be in an instanced Stormwind, but no, they just let me loose in MoonGuard’s Stormwind.
I do think there should be non-PvP flagged NPCs that can’t be killed by players. I would say just make it so they can’t die, but then PvPers just going to get in combat with them when someone tries talking to quest giver and make the quest giver run from the player
Thats why we have devs…to change things. they need to changed flagged status to auto force you into warmode. It would eliminate some problems.
2/10.
Name checks out tho.

And create new ones. I do holiday events on my human mage, who is not geares at all. She does actually have PvP gear from this season solely because one of the elders during the lunar celebration is behind the main wall in Wintergrasp and that toon is on Thrall, a horde dominated server. I can’t tell you how many times I got flagged for PvP going to all of the lunar elders. I just want to get in, do what I need to as fast as possible and get out. If I was forced into Warmode shards, I’m sure I would have a much harder time doing these things with people who actually want to PvP around.
