This is more logical than requesting for everything to not engage with PVP, and would get behind this one.
Yeah, I should have posted that earlier, but my brain is fried today so it took me 20 posts to remember that this is what I usually bring up when people talk about quest givers being camped.
Fun fact. PvP servers were just one sided PvE servers.
I’m looking at you Sargeras! And Malganis!
And Illidan
Well like the PvE’ers always say, jUsT tUrN oFf wArmOdE
…sorry! It took me a while to get here. Have the edgelords started their bad-faith “get off my game/shut up/cry more carebears” nonsense yet?
I mean…isn’t that what every server is right now? I haven’t been flagged for pvp in YEARS.
Would be nice but I doubt they’ll ever consider it. There is no true PvE server and there never has been for this game. Typical PvE servers in other games meant you only PvP in arena style PvP spaces or 1v1 duels or few had entire zones dedicated to PvP.
This game has multiple ways to PvP and for a PvE player you can still be accidentally flagged because there is no sure fire way to identify a PvP NPC without having to carefully scout from afar and click each NPC that may be in a single direction as you explore.
To avoid NPCs flagging you it’s either luck, you don’t explore ever and just do the same leveling path every time or you know where the NPCs that can flag you are and avoid them.
Feels like this game never intended to have PvE servers like other games at the time or ones that came shortly after.
If it’s red, if it’s in an opposite faction area… don’t go near it. Your flag drops in 5 minutes and no one PvPs in old zones.
If you’re getting flagged on a consistent basis, that’s a you issue. lol If I see red or Horde race from afar, or Horde flag… I’m obviously not going near it.
It’s not hard to avoid them. They’re even flagged with a PvP symbol, too.
The consequences for being in an opposite faction area have to exist. You don’t belong there.
Also: PvP was a later thought in this game. There were only PvE servers at first during testing.
Our experiences differ and I’m not going to argue about it. I’m putting this on ignore now
K.
This is just your roundabout way to demand a PvP server, isn’t it.
If you want pvp achievs…roll on a pvp realm. there are costs for everything
It’s not about PvP achievements. It’s about the fact that it’s still an MMORPG and part of that RPG is not being able to saunter into opposite faction areas without consequences.
Again, if your problem is quest givers being killed, then advocate for quest givers to be Neutral and not targetable for combat.
They don’t exist.
Yes. There are. Including walking into an opposite faction area. So thanks for proving that point.
Exactly, unless I go into a horde town. The pre-event for shadowlands was fun.
And how long has it been since you’ve seen a town getting attacked?
You don’t need server’s, you need questgiver NPCs to be unlikable outside of WM. That’s a request you’d be much more likely to get.
there is a box you can uncheck that will remove you from warmode… this is available on every server.
which does NOT prevent people from flagging themselves in spite of not being in warmode. If the second you flagged you were put into warmode there wouldnt be a problem. But wpvp is an infection many dont want any part of. Including allowing it to disrupt our play.
it’s not actually, but great contribution to the thread!
I think there is already RP servers right? But I would agree with letting pvp players have a server to play on
