We need a dungeon finder

I absolutely hate sitting there spamming people for an invite or trying to put together my own group spamming healers to join me.

I log on and it takes 30-40 mins just to get into a bloody group.

It’s garbage gameplay. You just sit there sending text at people for 40 mins.

It’s hard to log in now. I’m only level 57 because it’s so bloody boring logging in and trying to get a group together.

Give us a dungeon finder so I can login and do other stuff while I wait to be automatically put into a group.

I agree, cross realm dungeon finder would help SOD since incursions kind of ruined leveling and dungeon grinding. Most players have an alt at 50 meaning low level dungeons are rare to find a group.

Spamming every thread eh?

not anymore i was bored not being able to find anyone my level to play with today, my last message here dont worry, my last reply tc

Classic WoW was more about the social aspect of the game and building community. If you aren’t in an active guild or have friends, the experience can be quite poor and jarring, especially if you are use to later iterations of the game.

I don’t really feel like a Dungeon Finder is needed, but would encourage you to make friends and join a guild with active players.

as long as it doesn’t teleport the group to dungeon, sure.

All I play is classic vanilla and yes we need a dungeon finder. People rail on retail this and that, but retail didn’t invent matchmaking. It’s a very standard thing in the game world. Classic SEASONS would be improved by it.

When people talk about interactions in the open world being integral to classic, we’re talking about questing and leveling up. We’re not talking about running from the wind rider to the balcony of Blackrock Spire while sifting through summon spam in LFG.

If people want to keep making groups using the cluttered mess of LFG, then go for it. Others would just like to press a button and have a party to go.

Retail sucks, but not because of its qol.

You’ve got a garbage attitude.

retail is over there

The random dungeon finder is what killed retail. About every modern MMO out there has a random dungeon finder that panders to entitled players, and when I find some space that is free of a random dungeon finder, there is always a group of entitled players who want implemented there too.

This makes me mad, the moment I find space that is free of this RDF garbage, entitled players like you come along, make demands to Blizzard, and then you ruin my personal space.

Classic WoW, including Season of Discovery is all about traveling the world. It’s not about quality of life or convenience. True MMOs like Classic WoW (including Season of Discovery) should be inconvenient. Traveling should be required, and yes there should be situations to where something cannot be accomplished. True MMOs weren’t about getting stuff done, but instead experiencing the world with other players.

If any of you really want RDF then Classic WoW including Season of Discovery is not for you and you are not wanted here. Go play retail or go play the countless other modern MMOs that pander to entitled players such as yourself.

Retail is in a poor state because of Random Dungeon Finder. That is what killed WoW. Games like WoW should be worlds first, games second, but tools like RDF just make WoW a game. The fact that RDF is a “standard” in modern games is the reason why modern MMOs are no longer real MMOs in my opinion.

Find a guild lots of people do dungeons with guild members.

Nope, bad expansions is what damaged retail. As well as the fact that many players played to see the conclusion of WC3 in WotLK.

Also retail isn’t dead.

Okay so retail may not be dead, but it doesn’t seem like a world anymore. It wasn’t just “bad” expansions, it was expansions as a whole redefining the game.

As I said before, games like World of Warcraft should be worlds first, games second.

The RDF turned our dungeons in the world from actual locations to just random places in a user interface. No one should travel through a user interface.

Is that why everyone pays for summons everywhere?

Do you think its fun to take a zeppelin over to another continent, ride your mount for 5 mins, take a 6 minute flightpath, then mount up for another 5 minute run just to get to the dungeon entrance in a 20 year old game?

“Travelling the world”. Like man, we’ve seen this world for so many hours at this point. Travelling around it is not enjoyable. It’s a waste of time.

If I have 40 mins to play only, I cant run a dungeon because that’s how long it takes to find a group, sometimes longer. It’s nonsense. It’s not immersive at all in any way.

You clearly have no business playing classic WoW then.

I find traveling fun. I enjoy taking boat rides, I enjoy Gryphon rides, and I enjoy adventuring to dungeons. My best experiences in the game was meeting players in a town, and traveling together to the dungeon. hat was something classic WoW can offer, but was lost during RDF.

It doesn’t matter if you saw the zones numerous times, you see them again. It’s all about experiencing the world. It’s not about getting stuff done or getting loot. If you only have 40 minutes to play then accept the fact that you can only do outdoor quests because you are not entitled to do dungeons.

Classic WoW isn’t for you and you’re not wanted here. Go play a game play a Diablo that have waypoints. There are plenty of modern MMOs that pander to players like you as well. True MMOs aren’t for you.

You enjoy all of that but the vast majority does not, hence why summon bots make so much gold.

People would rather pay 5g than spend 20 mins travelling around a world theyve seen a billion times.

The majority isn’t always right. Classic WoW including Season of Discovery was meant for players like myself who wanted the classic vanilla experience with extra content to look forward too. There are a number of players like myself that enjoy public transportation and the class MMO experience, and it doesn’t matter if we are the majority or minority, we need to be considered.

Again, go play retail or other modern “MMOs” that pander to the majority.

Season of Discovery is meant to be a super casual seasonal game.

A dungeon finder fits perfectly with SoD.

You are just in denial because you like “sightseeing” on a flightpath in a 20 year old game.

Season of Discovery was meant for people who enjoy the classic vanilla experience but want to see new content that can fit into Vanilla WoW. You have a misunderstanding of what Season of Discovery is. Blizzard even stated they are not adding RDF because they want Season of Discovery to have the vanilla experience.

You have no business making irritational demands that are detrimental to the classic experience, and have no business playing classic WoW including Season of Discovery.

Go play retail WoW, go play a Diablo game, classic including Season of Discovery isn’t for you. You’re not wanted here.

I dont have a misunderstanding of what SoD is.

You clearly do and it’s hilarious.
