I agree. The kitties time has come. We have alot to learn and to make use of if they joined both factions causes. Its just common sense. Them and murlocs. Come on!
A good expansion, I think, would be “Cat People” who are off in a very far continent who happen to now be in the “Renaissance” due to being mostly peaceful but compete in discovery and inventions. (I would suggest maybe cat people for Alliance and a more Humanoid/Human-esque Beaver/Rabbit/Rodent for Horde?) The reason they are able to even find the other continents is due to their larger and more advanced ships and development in navigation. It could even be set up that the cat folks are a constitutional monarchy while the “rodents” have a parliament.
I dunno how this expansion goes but it could set up for these new discoveries to allow for a Tinker class (that the new races could be and Gnomes/Goblins), keeping the faction animosity going, and lead in to more peaceful means to maintain it. We could even see the return of some characters.
Anyway, just an idea.
EDIT: Oh and they both can have a distrust in magic to a degree so it can explain why there’s no Priest, Paladin, Shaman, Druid, and Warlock. They have Mages (maybe Priest? But I’d prefer Tinkers had a line dedicated to healing) but are seen like Warlocks.
The reason they sail out? New adventure and what happened during Legion. They are looking for the cause.
Only if they give them tails… and not worgen.
If we’re gonna get more animal people I’d prefer something more…exotic. Cat people have been done to death in RPGs and honestly I don’t see Blizz doing a better job lorewise than say, Elder Scrolls’ Khajiit.
How about Arakkoa? Or Naga? With flight/swim speed buffs respectively. Or proper Furbolgs? Idk anything but more cats.
