We moving to FFXIV Playstyle (No Combat addon's)

So with combat addons being disabled in Prepatch coming and onwards no combat addons gonna suck for people who has disablities (GSE and such) but hey if they make it like FFXIV Playstyle then it’s gonna be fun going back to old ways before addons were exsisted <3

Micro$oft internally pushing them to get WoW onto consoles by removing combat addons.

I can only see the disaster circus show already happening.

so before the old naxx raid in classic then?

If that were true, and I doubt it, I wouldn’t expect anyone to care considering not only did they increase the price of the consoles but they also just jacked up the price of Gamepass lol.

They added the OBR first before the rest of the changes to make sure people with certain disabilities can still play. But I agree with you on the rest.

FF14 won the Ablegamers Accesible mainstream game award like a decade ago. Only people who never played ff14 have this weird “its bad for everyone” mindset if something becomes more similar to it.

Will Blizzard screw it up? of course it wont work correctly till the expansion after this trilogy ends in like 2030

Is it the end of the world people who only can function with addons keep crying it is? no ff14 regardless of if you like it or not has shown you can make raids be incredibly difficult without the UI and not knowing what mechanics are without an addon being a major part of that difficulty

despite what the forum crybabies will keep saying its a step in the right direction the only problem is Blizzard takes about 32 steps in every direction after the first one in the correct direction before they figure out where they are going.

regardless we are already planning to enjoy and laugh at the crashouts when midnight raiding starts

I believe it’s true because Micro$oft is incredibly stupid in the first place. They love to waste time, consolidate things that don’t need it, etc.

Why do we think the acquisition even happened? It wasn’t to ‘save’ Blizzard. It was to get ownership over CoD and Candy Crush and to eventually phase Blizzard fully out of existence since the name and reputation are that permanently damaged after all, the only fixes to that would be less monetization, but Micro$oft just increased game pass prices and console prices, so yeah, we all know Blizzard’s fate.

FFXIV jobs have so many more rotational DPS abilities than WoW. They have about the same number of abilities over all as WoW classes, but they only have like 4 or 5 utility abilities and everything else is DPS.

well, one of the biggest killers for group play IMO is “required addons” to do group play. I play FFXIV and WOW, and if WOW took more ideas from 14 that would be a good thing. But honestly, the things Blizzard should look at are impossible for WOW. Maybe if they made a new Azeroth MMORPG they could properly copy the best features of 14’s gameplay, but naa. WOW at it’s heart is still Warcraft 3 the MMO with upgrades. I personally would love to see a modern MMO out of Blizzard, but WOW is too stuck in a pattern to make it into one.

You would need a Proper international Server system, action/hybred gameplay, no faction divides, One character all classes, no addons at all, and ingore the gooners with mods, you would need an open crafting and gathering system so one character could do it all, and you would have to place the game in either a differant reality, or so far in the past or future that the events in WOW could be treated as never happening. The questing system would have to follow one through line and no matter when you start the game you canalways start at the begining of the story. ← That bit right there annoys the hell out of me that Blizzard has removed all the past stories, and all the throughlines of every expansion. This treating the game as it is always in the now even for new players has greatly reduced the number of players playing wow. Cataclysm removing the base game was the biggest mistake WOW ever did. And looking at the next expansion they will be doing the same to Quel’thalas soon.

Idk, White Mage has more fluff to do DPS with, meanwhile Holy Priest is losing SW:P. Not like Holy Priest had an engaging DPS rotation in the first place.

As someone who plays both.

I would say it depends on role. Healers generally have limited DPS abilites and a lot of healing and buffing mechanics. Whichis ironic because Healers in 14 are green DPS.

It’s also hard to compare gameplay mechanics, 14 plays a lot faster at high end, but feels much slower when starting out. If you want to play high end ninja hope you can type over 100 words a minute, because that job has some insane OGCD requirements.

At the same time BLM has about the same level of damaging abilites as a Destro lock.

And don’t get me on Monk which up until recently had too many dps rotations, aoe rotation, side rotation, flank rotation…

FF combat is a total joke. No game should want to be like it.
