We going to ignore how balance druids are OP?

You plan on doing something bliz or just keep nerfing hunters?

The only way to nerf druid is…

Another hunter nerf

While I do not really advocate the nerf ban, we faced an 8 Druid 2 Priest team in WSG. Is that the norm, no. But was it ridiculously OP. Absolutely. They literally destroyed their focus target each time, and any focus target we did had too many heals to overcome. If you do not want to nerf the damage, then start upping the casting costs of certain spells.

For now? yes, phase 2 is around the corner, expect changes at that moment.

This happens regardless of the comp. That is what coordination and calling focus targets does.

I don’t think they’re op. Starsurge as an individual rune is a bit strong, but given the full context of how weak their damage is overall it seems fine.

You missed the point where I said we did the same thing and because they also can all heal in addition to the priests healing we could not focus anyone down.

Sad but True.

No, you missed the point of not understanding how to fight the comp. Its a niche comp that just pug-stomps. Wildgrowth eats mana faster than any other spell. Its not sustainable - you just didn’t understand how to fight against it.

Druids are fine. Might be a skill issue.

This happened to me in WSG last night ROFL. Was it Crusader strike pemade? All druids cept 2 priests. Insta delete anything that all assist on.

Surge damage needs to be reduced by about 10-15% and the cooldown needs to be 10+ seconds.

Have you seen the 7 priest 3 balance comp from CS yet?

Not only do you suffer, but suffer much longer.

Yes I beleive it was.

Nah dude. Boomkin stacks are way more powerful than Hunter / melee stacks. It’s not even close.

With 8 Boomkin and 2 priests an enemy player is getting one-shotted every 6 seconds and every friendly player has 9 backup healers. Not to mention the sea of roots. It’s ridiculous.

I say this as someone who got exalted playing with Boomkin stacks - it definitely needs to be adjusted. In AB it’s going to be absolutely crazy if Druids can stealth around the map and coordinate one-shot people.

Yes, now please stop whining.

That sounds like a really fun meme team. Why not put one together and see how it goes?

I think you cant understand what makes them OP. If you did you would have been able to specify.

But your IQ is 70.

‘Nerfing’ starsurge for pvp is actually quite easy and would result in a pve buff.

Step 1. It no longer benefits from the cast range talent (this opens them up to being close to the enemy and offering more counterplay)

Step 2. Starsurge now costs 10% total mana to use, but after using it you gain 2 stacks of guidance buff for 7 seconds
Guidance-after using a casted damaging spell gain mana equal to 8% of your total mana and one stack of guidance is used up.

What this does is if the druid just uses starsurge it costs 10% of his total mana. If the druid, but if they get 2 casts off after using starsurge in that 7 second window they actually gain 6% total mana.

It is far harder to get those 2 casts off in pvp though than pve where you will almosy always get those casts off. Which means it will have a far higher effective mana cost in pvp because of interupts, pushback, kiting, etc.

This buffs pve because druids gain a strong mana regen mechanic which fixes boomkins main flaw. Mana efficiency. Which will let them do far less downranking of spells.

There’s that word again. I have no problem with people winning in PvP, or pve, or anything for that matter if you’re working in coordination with others to achieve it.

I have a solidly geared boomy I’ve done some pugs with and any time I go against a premade my Starsurges just tickle people - they’re geared and coordinated. When I get matched up against a pug I swear I’m playing against level 25s are still wearing level 1 starter gear. I feel most people in here complaining are the ones still wearing that level 1 starter gear.

You are conflating the issue.

If you are stacking one class, or even one ability that dominates the BG.
That ability is overtuned.

Coordinating all sorts of classes and builds to win a BG is just good gameplay.
