i found out there was no RDF when i got my beta invite. I was so excited to get it downloaded an installed. I transferred my toon, logged in, did the starting quest to get some northrend gear. Went to queue for nexus…and the same LFG tool that is in TBC popped up. i literally logged out for weeks. when back when they added the option to create an 80. Tried for an hour to get a heroic of any kind. Nope. I was in the tool, in all heroics as a DPS. Not one invite. not one whisper. no groups formed.

I’ve been using the system for 2 weeks straight on the beta.
It’s a decent system but you can tell they put 0 effort in. Anytime I heal I get auto switched to tank when I join a group. Then proceed to confuse everyone. EVERY SINGLE TIME.
The lack of auto refresh is very annoying as well. You have to sit there watching the queue while clicking refresh every few seconds.
How is that more engaging than just queuing up and going out in the world and farming/questing? You literally have to sit there and stare at it until the group forms.
For whatever lazy reason it also doesn’t just block the dungeons you are saved to so you have to remember and individually click every single time you requeue, because it also doesn’t save that either.
Nobody is using the tool on the beta. It’s just a simple GUI that serves as window dressing for chat. It’s easier and quicker to spam in LFG so that’s what is happening.
The new tool is more like a lobby than RDF is
Traveling around and being able to queue while you’re questing? Or you prefer to just spam chat channels and stare at that?
Yes, God forbid people like playing rogue, hunter, mage and warlock. 
Or they could, you know add the feature that solved said issue in the original version of the game.
People use it because the world died after RDF was introduced, to the point Blizzard made the world scale to level just BECAUSE no one did any of that nonsense you listed and just sat in Stormwind/Orgrimmar/Dalaran while AFK in queue.
LFG chat is global, just say “LFG or LFM” every once and a while and you’ll find a party and you can still do the same thing. Or is getting/sending a whisper every once and a while just too much to handle?

you may want to watch the interviews with the devs, they have come out and said CATA killed wow, NOT rdf. you can say anything you want to try and support your position but the DEVS THEMSELVES have admitted it was cata that kille world of warcrafts popularity. all RDF did was make it so regular players werent cut out of runs for not having the right gear, not having the right class, or for daring to have the same need of armor that the main guy did.
LFG chat is filled with perversion, politics, and people with the maturity of 3rd graders drowning out the few actually LFG.

RDF is Cata content. You can cope by saying it was “added halfway through WotLK” all you want, but it was added in the last content patch of Wrath and the extra year of content draught was just delayed Cata.
you truly dont have any actual facts do you? now youre going to call me a boomer and insult me right? the version of wrath we are getting CONTAINED RDF as RDF was NOT added in cata, it was added during the icc phase. you may want to go check your facts before entering the debate or you will consistently and repeatedly be called out for false information. so far in 2 posts back to back, youve completely missed the mark trying to twist actual fact to fit your narrative. strike 2.

It was still in Wrath for 26 days less than it wasnt in Wrath for. The amount of content or patches does not matter. Whether there was a lot of content or no content at all people still got to use RDF for over 300 days in Wraths life span. To give context: RDF existed in WOTLK for almost as long as TBC Classic was current. Content draughts happen in every expansion.
