We Don't Want to Join BGs in Progress! We NEED to be Notified!

Sorry but I just never want to join a BG in progress. I know most feel that way. They want a fresh BG from start to finish. If the Que pops like it did just now and I entered a losing BG. I just got the buffs and left. I didn’t sign up for that. Not my problem.

Obviously the person before me that left felt the same wa, the person that will join after me will too and a vicious cycle happens.

  • Solution is when a BG Que pops it NEEDs to notify you that you are joining a BG in progress so you can decline. Period.

It saves the problem of joining a BG in progress then leaving for someone else to join and leave. Which increases Que times because everyone has deserter.

On that note stop backfilling BGs especially losing ones where multiple players left. Just have the BG shut down due to not enough players. This also stops Premades from toxic farming GY’s. Since if the BG just ends and no rewards they don’t have incentive anymore for this behavior.

PS - Please add Blacklisting again because this is an amazing QoL feature that also stops players from leaving BGs. We NEED to que for Random BGs for Rewards and then when we randomly get the BG we hate. We leave. Just add Blacklisting please and thanks. That is another solution.

PPS - In before someone wrongly says well we need stricter penalties… WRONG people leaving BGs is a symptom of the problem and penalties don’t fix anything. Fix the Que and QoL of BGs. Then players won’t leave as much.

They should make a points system were u gain a token evey time u left a BG and are queued in bgs in progress for every token u have.

I’m not sure why Blacklisting and having QoL feature so players have agency can’t be done. This will increase PvP participation and get players into content they want.

Nobody would want to join an in-progress BG as most leavers are leaving a losing BG, not a winning one meaning the backfill would no longer work.

Some players do want to join. I’ve also joined BGs and 30 secs latter won so it was a free win. Players leave for all types of reasons. Something IRL, laundry, work, power outtage etc.

So in the above instance backfilling works and players should have a choice to join or not.

Now for losing BGs where some pre-mades is farming a GY. Once multiple players leave the same BG it doesn’t backfill anymore. That BG will close due to not enough players. No team wins or rewards given. This now will decentivize pre-mades from toxic behavior.
