pathfinder is garbage, but it is here to stay because the devs have their heads up their collective censored because they dont like blunt honesty
it would be one thing if pathfinder 1 was it, but no, they tend to want to make it as tedious and soul crushing as possible because they really want to put the genie back in the bottle because of reasons
this is not only counterproductive to quite a few people and their enjoyment of the product, but it also created things like this thread and several others where people have let it be known what a censored again, but frankly it was the best term to use in this context idea it was in the first place to restrict flying
I’m curious as to where you got those percentages, considering that we have no idea how many subscribers there are anymore. Do those percentages include multiple alts on the same account (either among those who do or do not have Pathfinder)? Do they have some means of sifting alts? How does whoever came up with those numbers know what “the player base” is? Without knowing how many subscribers there are and having some means of determining which accounts have completed Pathfinder and which have not (regardless of how many alts are on the account), your numbers are meaningless.
I never said you were lying, I said I find it hard to believe. Maybe you’re completely correct. But maybe, just maybe, you don’t know all of your “internet buddies” as well as you claim. Sorry I upset you so badly that you had to become so defensive.
How do you know that the majority found it unfun? Some just play that way. Some do things because of the reward, fun or not. Some complain. I doubt any single group is actually a “majority”.

They include any character with the achievement, I would imagine. The info is pulled from the Armory (like everything else). So, technically, it would be “of max level characters”. However, I highly doubt that many above a low minority went out of their way to complete Pathfinder on multiple characters (probably no one outside of the “true” completionist). I certainly could be wrong, but even with the maximum number of multi-toon completionists in the game I doubt the percentage would change by more than a couple of percent.
Sub numbers are irrelevant. The API allows data sites to pull information from the Armory.
I think the likes on the first two post pretty much sum it up. If anyone is guilty of falsely speaking for the generic “we” it’s the OP.
But how do I know most people didn’t enjoy grinding path finder?
I did the Tanaan grind. Spent more time waiting for things to spawn then working on the rep grind. Kill stealing, spawn camping, one gigantic cluster fowl up because you got a bunch of over leveled people back filling the content and one shoting everything on sight, some of which is on 30 minute respawn timers. I feel pretty safe in stating the majority of people wont and didn’t enjoy that.
You got flight paths. Flying’s in the game. And then there’s the option to actually be in control while flying. Not a predetermined path, actually control where you go. And people think there’s a majority of people going, “No, I don’t want to be able to control where I fly.”
i would prefer if flying had more deterrence like capping the max height more or making them waaaaaay slower so you would need a ground mount more often
It was treasures in Draenor that were un-fun and reps that were tedious. Fortunately, the reps were a case of spend a little time on the daily/wq, and then go do something else.
