Great news, but we all know what Soar was supposed to be: a racial mount, just like Worgen have. The dogs can run, now they need to let the dragons fly!
Remove the ability cooldown! It doesn’t hurt gameplay at all, it’s basically just a mount ‘skin’. And keep the cast time, once again we all know what it was intended to be: a mount.
This is the type of “fun detected” Blizz is attempting to move away from these days, so…remove that cooldown and it’s 
Has the druid dynamic fly ability tooltip been released?
Are we certain they will get instant dynamic flight?
All I read so far was they will have to be on the ground to switch between static and dynamic… Is that switch instant? They didn’t say.
For all we know druid dynamic flight might mimic the same cast time as mounting.
Unless of course there is proof of an insta cast dynamic flight floating about?
We would need to sacrifice our Soar “leap” to be equal to a DR mount.
What are we going to do, cast soar and the animation makes us get on all fours then we cast Ascent?
When we land, we crash down onto all fours and crawl around?
So how is it going to work, do we get the free leap and sacrifice the ability to land?
How does the cooldown work, do we get 6 vigor on cast or could we potentially waste our cooldown while low on vigor?
If we do get 6 vigor on cast, how big of a cooldown is needed for it not to be abused?
We need to see what it looks like on the PTR before we can have any real feedback on it.
Honestly I don’t see why they wouldn’t. Flight form has always been instant and I doubt this would be any different. Thats not to say that its confirmed going to be instant, but there isn’t anything suggesting that it won’t either.
But once again I’ll say it. I don’t care about what druids are getting. I just want more for the dracthyr.
Now for the important question, when is 10.2.5 coming? lol
Soar is a 10 second cooldown, which makes sense, as it launches us into the air, so it’s essentially the equivalent of 1 vigor recharging after we land.
While if you land w/ vigor it would be better to have a 0 cd, it’s pretty low that I doubt unless your turning in a quest and picking up another super quickly, that 10 seconds will end up being bothersome.
Still want it to be a full mount, but 10 seconds is pretty okay of a cooldown.
I thought they were going to do something dumb and give it like a 30 second CD. I still think it shouldn’t have a CD, but if it just has to have one then I guess this is a better alternative.
They just need to adjust the audio. Soar has a higher pitched sound over normal dynamic flying which gets a bit irritating after 30 seconds of flying. Just have the audio for flying match normal dynamic flight.
