Coming in TWW, according to Wowhead:
It looks to be a cosmetic option that has to be collected before being usable.

That’s really silly that you have to earn a hidden appearance when all.the other hidden appearances were just implemented and can transmog for free.
Oh yea, for sure. It’s similar to Griftah’s Shoes, when the most logical route would have been to add it to the technology that already exists now.
I’m still happy that we’re at least getting the option, though. I don’t like playing the cloth classes that much, but if I wanted to use the cosmetic dresses with the slits in the sides I was basically forced to because only cloth and leather have options that could even sort of hide under the dress well (as far as I’m aware of, anyway).
I have a few characters that would use this option.
This is the best feature of TWW!
It may not necessarily need to be collected. Other slots have similar “Cosmetic Items” for hidden slot options like “Hidden Gloves,” “Hidden Chestpiece,” “Hidden Helm,” etc.
The items probably just exist in order for the options to work. I imagine that “Hidden Pants” will just be automatically unlocked (hopefully). Also, “Hidden Pants” is probably going to sound funny to British players.
As much as I’m into this - and I am - I actually kind of want an extra pants slot that works on the same layer as the shirt does for chest so I can do different mogs with the tart-mog pants like the Jade/Glorious things.
But this is still most welcome.
That would be so cool, actually. I never thought about the neat combinations that could be made with some of those empty spaces that are currently designed to be semi-revealing.
Oh good. Now I can use those dresses they’ve been rotating through the trading post without having to go without that armour slot.
Now we just need to wait for August 26th.
Or… purchase the Epic Edition for a guaranteed beta test.
Rejoice! A good for all option now exist.
Not to mention this option for all Night Elves:
More recent option would also be:
The 2 skirts are not quite perfect mind you, it will be much better with the hide pants option but in the meantime…
That is not what the Legguards of Chosen Renewal look like.
I keep seeing this false picture come up in posts.
The entire set (for both male and female) looks like this: https://www.wowhead.com/item=209604/ensemble-raiment-of-amirdrassil
On a Night Elf, that is indeed how the pants look.
However, if you look at the text on that image on Wowhead … it states that they used the Orb of the Sin’dorei to change to a Blood Elf. As such, those pants do look like that when viewed on a Blood Elf.
Now I don’t have that set yet, but I do have the Night Elf Heritage set (same model, different color).
Here is how that set looks like on my Night Elf vs. how it looks when I use the Orb of the Sin’dorei.
