How can go from titan forging to something worse?

Imagine the arena forums 2 years ago if you said we would be talking about forging pieces, corruption, m+ and various other things of that nature. It would be ludicrous.

probably because each passing day we didnt think it would get any worse and then it does over and over. I remember when legion came out and disc priest was completely different and annoying and then i realized i couldn’t be effective in pvp on my holy pally because i didn’t have honor level 50 for big holy light, then once i got 50 it randomly reset back to 1 and i had nothing because i pressed the prestige button. Then weapon talents were a grind. I think the first week when i saw what they did i was sick to my stomach and it was unreal how they would be that naive.
Fast forward to now its a whole different game and absolutely the same WRONG direction. I dont know why im still even here or playing i hate every minute of pve yet the game is soley focused around it and im forced to do it to pvp now. I would take legion back any day over this trash and when legion was current i would have had ANY other iteration of the game. Sad times we live in.

You should not be suffering to find entertainment in something you no longer like
Templates were cool. I just wished, they gave us a set number of stats to move around and make our own builds with. Similar to GW2’s pvp system.

You see im trapped in the endless cycle like most in my position which is a lot of the people who already quit like the rest of my bnet list. All i want to do is play pvp because thats whats fun to me. However since things changed and everyone i played with quit im forced into LFG to find mates to play with. At that point it becomes whats your neck level, back level, what corruption and rank, ilvl, your previous pvp xp, current xpac xp, cr and first borns name and then maybe you can play a couple games with someone horrible at the game and then leave and start all over… lol. Its just how it goes now. #BFAlyfe
p.s. you wouldnt catch me dead playing classic wow i just said i hate pve.

Would you believe these same players , they die and you win yet they say hey you should have done this and both of us would have lived
I am in love with the game again but some people really need to tone down the delusional mindset and look within ( including myself)
I am more into world pvp and Mythic keys atm . When I get bored of that I work on my Hunter
Just hate to see players no longer enjoy the game and keep on trucking hoping it will change

8/19 from a thread in which people were saying it couldn’t possible get worse than where the game was at at the time. Naive and/or newish-to-WoW people said I was full of crazy talk.

Oh hai, guys. Yea, incase my point was missed. This corruption stuff is probably the most rage inducing idiotic thing I’ve ever seen in pvp. Going to heal someone and watching them die in one hit. lmfao
Ion removed titanforging and then channels the full power of Activision and adds RNG to getting corruption to get getting decent corruption and to get a decent tier of it.
Do they all play DH’s or not even play this heap?

People tend to not like systems they have no control over. Both templates and having no direct way to attain a specific corruption are a prime example of this.

That needs to stop being a response to everything nobody wants to play retail be unhappy and told well just quit when we knew this game was great before sure we always complain but factually has taken such a nose dive into 0 insight of creating a game for us when they only scratch the surface of our complaints which seems to be “well you dont like this version of what we are telling you to play so heres option b which is option a we just call it b”
Classic had pvp vendors but some pve gear still good
BC had pvp vendors but some pve is god like
WotLK - had pvp vendors but LMAO LEGENDARY SWANGS
Cata - had pvp vendors, pvp resil was good but haha tenty on the ground
MoP - had pvp vendors, required to have pvp gear on because of resil
WoD - had pvp vendors, never played outside of rbgs so wouldn’t know about arenas
Legion - had “pvp vendors,” pve gear is top tier but now we have templates lol?
BFA - just screw it bro they be grinding last xpac do it again

crafted gear for itemization over ilv increases.
i feel like drop chances from pvp were extremely high. i never stopped having extra pieces that weren’t bad but not replaceable coz wf/tf.
didnt pve once this whole xpac over like 7 toons lol

Really well said, we had a lot more agency with the wrath system. Corruption should have been implemented by means of a seperate tree where you unlocked the 3 levels and could select what level of what corruption. Not going to go down the “this shouldn’t be here” rabbit hole because class design in bfa is so shallow and boring.
But wait there’s more! With higher cloak corruption resistance, you can equip not one, but two infinite star pieces!
Yup. This is why I’ve written the game off until next expansion. And will actually wait to read reviews before I buy it this time. Between BfA, this tone-deaf corruption system (“we hear you, titanforging sucks, here…have something 10x worse”), and the wc3: refunded fiasco…I’ve lost faith. Blizzard games will no longer be a guaranteed day-one purchase for me.
