So in other words no one knows anything further than weapon restrictions being lifted. Don’t even know if they will do anything else.
Well you aren’t other people and that is what people were asking for. 2h for big obliterate crits.
It’s a small problem being replaced with a bigger problem. More people care about balance than you think, and those people would be forced to use a weapon set they don’t want too
Again why do you have such a hard time understanding basic stuff? Why play an mmo if you just care about you?
i hope that means DWUH as well. especially since clawing shadows is still gonna be around.

Pretty happy for you guys. Back in LK I enjoyed 2H frost the most on my DK alt. It’s iconic and I’m glad to see it’s finally making a return. Have fun!

i presume its going to be similar to how it was in MoP when you could use a 2h or DW.
DW puts out better numbers, and is the “intended” playstyle for min/maxing.
2h puts out better burst in a small window, but loses in the overall dps race.
Itll probably have a PvP niche more than anything. Which i think is accepatable.
IIRC, wasn’t the damage difference really small between the two?
Even if 2h is behind 1handers, just having the ability to use a superior 2 hander over weaker 1 handers would be ideal for a FDK.
I was stuck with two 400 ilvl one handers for a long time, but had my 445 getikku.
Only way is to wait and see, idk if they’ll bring MoTfW back as well.

I hope there will eventually be an option for me to use the frost dk mage tower skin on a 2h weapon. Maybe a larger version of the skin.
That’s not true. Even if 2h dps is behind dw who cares? Only the players doing high end m+ or mythic raids will care. Almost everyone else will play what they want. I prefer 2h frost because I enjoyed it way more. If its behind a bit who cares.
So then its true. You cant say no one cares but this group of people will care. Historically speaking, if you look at the playerbase, other players care what people they play with do, or how they build their character.
Look at gearscore, the addon that gave rise to ilvl. How many times have people wanted achievements to do something, which usually the achievement is for the thing that that you are trying to do. There have been people that said if a frost dk is using whelps they wont bring them to their groups.
We arent talking like a few % behind. If you look at what DW has, and what 2h doesnt, its a huge dps difference. 15% frost damage from Razorice, more km procs (more than double the chance since you have another weapon and they both attack faster). Even when MotFW was introduced which its sole purpose was to balance 2h and DW, in trying to bring 2h up to the level of DW, it was around 10% behind.
And what did you enjoy about 2h? Just the look? The WoD playstyle that was the actual initial playstyle but limited in come capacity since you wanted to use KM procs on obliterate while prior to that KM procs were just used as you played the spec and you didnt try to save them to use on certain abilities because you couldnt. It wasnt how the spec worked.
Right now, without anything extra done to it, it will be more like the Wrath situation. 2h will be behind, everyone will go DW that is going to push any kind of content, and those that will want to play 2h are going to be severely behind. Its how it happened in the past because the issues were never properly addressed, and as of right now, they still arent.
You guys just got an option back, just like Arms basically has the option to glad stance since you can use shield slam in any spec. Doesnt mean glad stance (or shield using dps) is going to be any good what so ever.

Yep… they have tried 3 times now to false flag me and it keeps getting over ruled by blizzard LOL!
If I’m not mistaking false flagging is also against the rules too. I’m not sure.
Anyway it’s ok though, the debate is over, they lost, 2H Frost is officially returning… they can continue to cry into the void and say whatever they want to, at this point… it doesn’t matter.

so, basically, the difference is, there will be people who are happy being able to go 2H even if stays behid, and others who don’t care about?

Play the game, get out of the 2h echo chamber and actually talk to other people, read other forums. People complained about DS (drain soul) being a DPS loss over no talents. People complained about how some azerite traits were dps losses over not having a trait at all, people complain a lot about dps differences all over the place. So yes, a lot of people care about balance.
You know that DW unholy thing back in cata where sudden doom was proccing off of the off hand? People didnt go to that because of DW unholy, they went to it because it machine gunned death coils for a lot of damage and procced runic corruption a lot, once that was shut down they moved away from it either going DW frost, or just going back to 2h unholy. People pursue dps output, its the entire reason why there is FoTM classes and specs. Something is crazy good or easy, like 2h Frost in WoD, people flocked to it, when it gets nerfed people move away.
So you admit that if nothing is done then one complaint will be traded for another complaint.
And I called this exact thing, you guys just care about those in your circle, not because they are friends, but because they tow the same line. Some of those people that you call your fellow players that wanted the weapon restriction gone, are worrying now about balance. Crazy huh? Who would have through that lifting the weapon restrictions wasnt enough, even though i called it the very least a month or more ago.
I dont even understand why you are so against balance. Do you really not understand to the point where you think im advocating for a reversal of this or something?

You know nothing is even live yet right? So all of these things your against could easily be in the game or fixed over time. So instead of sitting here and complaining about 2h coming back why not get into the beta and give Blizzard your ultimate DK knowledge and help make 2h good.
