I feel you! DK was my main since WOTLK but when they took 2h Frost away and Unholies playstyle was too sloppy, i couldn’t play it anymore. So happy its back and my main is now back!

I think for the people that never actually used DK when it had the 2H option are more in line with wanting to use Frost with a 2H because it would look and/or feel more attractive than 1H.
Those like me, who did play 2H Frost and know how each play-style actually functioned, liked the 2H Frost play-style better altogether, as opposed to simply having a vision of using 2H for the first time in Frost now.
I don’t know if either style could be marked as “better” overall, because each one had its own niche function. DW was better for sustained PvE damage and spamming Death Siphon in PvP when the ability came out. 2H was better in PvP because of the heavy-hitting melee. The grand problem is, DW never seemed to have any remote focus on melee precision, but instead on magic ability usage, which did not sit well with a certain portion of the community that used DK for their big-sword hash-slinging-slasher fantasy.

Think of 2h frost like Arms warrior and dual wield is like Fury. 2h frost will have some BIG WHOOMPING obliterate and frost strike crits, not this toothpick 5000 offhand hit stuff like today.

I reallllllllllllllly hope they enable cross-legion-artifact-skins. I love the blood spec scythe and the unholy mage tower blade; they’d look SO good for 2 hand frost.

Hyped for 2H frost.
But the Unholy changes seem…meh? More mastery damage and AotD, Apoc cooldown reduction? Magus and garg are nice…guess I was hoping for more diseases and such. Still early.

Super happy for you DK mains, just saw the post. Hope it is mathematically equal to DW, but I know my DK will ABSOLUTELY go full 2H for all 3 specs.
EDIT: I just read UH gets to keep Magus with Army and Apocalypse. So happy about that.
