We demand action against bots blizzard for madskillzzhc

I could do it single handedly. Most of the bots are using third-party “hacking” software to access “locked” macros. Just ban anyone who uses a locked macro. gg.

No actually, you couldn’t.

It’s amazing that botting is a wide-spread problem for every online game from wow, to ffxiv, ffxi, league of legends, diablo, and more, and yet somehow the average player thinks they can single handledly solve the problem.

You don’t understand how their hacks work. I asked my friend that sells bots to the farmers why Blizzard doesn’t just ban anyone using locked macros. He just laughs and says cuz Bliz is dumb.

Perma bans for gold buying would be enough to sway 90%+ away from buying gold, the chance of a perma ban alone would be very effective. As well I think all the accounts associated with your battle net should be permabanned not just the account that you bought the gold on.

Reducing the amount of gold buying is the best and most effective way to fight bots and uphold the integrity of the game.

Implementing perma bans would be amazing for the game quality from players perspective, but it makes little to no sense from corporation like Blizz. This would not only cost extra to implement, but as well consist of removing their own subs, there is zero FINANCIAL profit in this, so there is little to no chance we’ll see something like this implemented.

Further more with the release of token on classic servers Blizz further normalized gold buying, because in the end like every other mmo, they just want cashcow whales in their game.

You either accept the fact there is no integrity in WoW and deal with it.

Or you can unsub and make your voice “heard” that way.

Or make an account on hardcore and spend your evenings looking for and killing bots.

If you banned locked macros you would only stop them for a couple weeks… and then you’d have reduced functionality for players who aren’t botting but use macros and gained nothing.

Disagree. This would only hurt real players because Bliz isn’t 100% accurate in their bans. We can all agree Bliz is careless on this topic. Farmers use throw away accounts. So a perma ban won’t hurt a throw away account.

You don’t understand how it works. Players cannot access locked macros. You need “hacking” software to use these forbidden macros. So it wouldn’t affect any legit players. The only players accessing these macros are GMs, farmers, or cheaters. So ban them.

Raiders use locked macros, and you can bot without them too. It’s not the catch all your friend thinks it is.

Ip ban ofc, what are we talking about this aint 1998.

This doesn’t work, botting operations mask their IP and change it regularly.

Man anyone who seen a bot in-game knows they are painfully obvious to identify, they just dont do anything about them or the gold buyers, as long as they allow gold buying the bots will keep coming.

And manually watching the actions of millions of players to not only respond to initial botting accusations, but also confirm that the accusations are accurate takes a lot of time and a lot of people.

Anyone that uses a “locked” macro is hacking. Banning them could be handled by a script with little to no human involvement.

this just isn’t true.

You dont have to watch nothing its so easy to spot and you can just flag suspicious transactions, ban everyone who gold bought regardless of being a streamer or not. Just the fear of getting banned would sway majority of people away from buying. But they aint even trying.

You don’t understand how their hacks/script works if you think that’s false. They’re using commands that regular players can’t access. Just ban anyone accessing those commands.

You need some experience fighting bots to actually make the claim that running a single script to detect locked macros and then ban those players would work let alone be effective.

If it was that easy botting would be solved. It’s not. You really think we’re out here industry wide just deciding to not take an easy win against bots? You really honestly believe that?

I have a lot of experience with bots, playing against bots in rated battlegrounds, seeing bots run around classic WoW, and seeing games ruined by bots. Considering these profit-hungry corporations just want sales numbers, which delayed ban waves give the opportunity for the farmers to buy and re-buy accounts, bolstering sales numbers. Before Blizz was acquired by Activision/Microsoft, the Warden anti-cheat would instantly disconnect any cheating players. Tldr gamers aren’t running the show at Bliz, it’s all for short-term profit.

Haha, your experience playing the video game and spotting a bot does not mean you have experience fighting bots.

For real, how tf is Blizzard allowing these bots they have already ruined the economy games gonna die before aq40 at this rate promise.

To make matters worse the people behind these bot farms are real life death threatening players who say something about it.

Blizzards okay with death threats I guess?

Ban every single one bot immediately, stop doing these stupid ban waves they obviously have different versions of their software to avoid detection.

Hire game masters and have them actively looking for and banning these bots.

If you pander to these gold sellers any further you are only destroying your own game Blizzard.

Go ahead, sit back do nothing and watch 2024 fresh die.

My warrior is only lvl 49, I do not have all the time in the world to play anymore.

But after seeing the auction house the amount of bots everywhere and countless other issues I’m feeling done already.

Blizzard has had every chance to learn from from these mistakes from 2019 and have just ignored all of it.

I think I’m just about to UN-subscribe again and forget about this garbage can fire.
