We are winning too much honor points per BG

Say something I’m giving up on you?

He’s awake and posting. Just not about this. Apparently recovering lost BG marks is more important (cuz we’re totally gonna have an issue with running out of marks given the current state of bgs right???)

Kaivax, Bornakk, Blizzard? Can we please get some feedback on this. You guys have answered a lot of other posts, but we still haven’t had anything on this.

It seems like they don’t know wtf they’re doing. Or just don’t care and think its how it should be. Meanwhile the entire pvp community is dead in the water.

There was a much better and simpler solution to this. Reset honor when TBC actually goes live so that people can’t hold on to honor cap and immediately buy pvp gear at 70 for work they did at 60. BG marks could be converted to grey items upon release as well. Now everything is fair. We can grind out our r14 gear during the much shorter prepatch and no one has an unfair advantage at level 70 because of the increase in honor. A win/win.

For anyone complaining about the level 58 boosts getting “free” epic gear a question for you. Is grinding BGs for a few days or a week+ free to you? Doesn’t sound free to me. Not to mention who cares if someone gets r14 gear, it’ll be replaced in 4 or 5 levels into TBC anyway.

Grand Marshal’s two handers are 38,250 honor. I’m getting 220 for a win in AB average about 15min per match. That’s a 174 wins and 43.5 hours of grinding for one item. It’s not even possible to farm this gear…not if you have a life and a job.

I don’t have a life or a job, and I still don’t think I could grind the gear in the time we have for prepatch. 141,525 honor, 110 AB honor marks, 30 WSG honor marks, and 90 AV honor marks for a full set by the way. I was really looking forward to it as well because I think it looks cool. My main character doesn’t even need it, but the paladin I’m levelling (not boosted) would have loved having it to go into TBC. Oh well, something that was fun and didn’t hurt the game in any way, shape, or form was discovered, so Blizzard did what they always do, over nerf it into the ground.

How tf are they not replying to this. It’s obviously a huge problem with a lot of people. I guess they’re taking the drug dealer approach bc no matter what they sell us we’re buying. It’s time to stop buying.

Thank fk I got to farm Honor when it was bugged, this grind feels legit worse than the Classic grind now that it’s “Blizzlike”. Honestly these values are probably correct, but just because something is correct for 2008 doesn’t mean it’s good for 2021.

Honor values could be buffed to as low as 1/3rd of the high value and still feel okay, but making them 1/10th of the value is not good for the game at all.

fine with having 5 less weeks of prepatch… like lmao st fu dude.

I came back to have fun cause I heard about the honor, seemed fun, rip $15.

People crying for accuracy in favor of nerf, TBC didn’t have paid boosts either, I don’t think accuracy matters anymore.

this change is simply silly. 2 weeks until tbc and this was a nice chance for a buncha scruby alts to beat each other up in preparation and now… completely pointless opening up the gear availability prior to bc even if its just 1-3 weeks before you replace it in bc. just a very bad decision

You had so many chances to not mess up TBC era and would have a massive player base but you keep screwing up at every chance you get its truly impressive honestly not many companies are capable of this picking which option screws players over the most each chance.

To be honest if the honor wasn’t a big enough issue that Blizzard didn’t retroactively reduce everyone’s honor by a factor of 10 who played before the fix was implemented then the fix should never have been implemented in the first place. People who were able to play at 4 am or whenever the servers came up now have an unfair advantage over the players who weren’t able to. If this was truly such a big issue that it warranted such a drastic nerf then you’d think they would remove any honor gear purchased by abusing this bug and then reducing those players honor accordingly as well, but they didn’t. I wonder why. Probably because it’s actually not really a problem.

Want some examples? Look at any time someone has found a way to grind out more artifact power/azerite/stygia over the last 3 expansions in retail. Not only was it nerfed, but all players who took advantage of it had their gains removed/nerfed. Some of them even received bans for it.

so whats the play fellas - - just grind honor as much as we can and not waste on level 60 items? save the tokens, save the honor - spend at 70? or do we assume there will be a wipe as 70 is dinged for either tokens turning into gold or honor into gold or both?
