Anyone saying that it was broken, keep in mind doesn’t even know if it was actually broken. So no one should insinuate that it was.
I crashed with 10% left on AV, best gimmee my 3 marks and 2k honor blizz.
You won’t. TBC the gear costs so much honor comparatively to what it is now that you’ll have 2-3 pieces at best. The ring alone is 15k. Keep in mind that’s a RING. Usually one of the cheapest pieces of gear to acquire due to it giving limited stats.
And even then in TBC you have the HWL gear for 70 which is trash. And you don’t get the previous arena set for honor, you get the set from TWO SEASONS AGO. So in season 4 you can buy season 2 with honor.
Everyone is complaining about how crappy this prepatch. but no one was complaining about honor rates. in fact they were happy with it.
John Blizzard can’t let that happen. Let us fix that right away.
Poor move on this one, really bad optics on a kind of flammable situation right now. Letting people enjoy something that is slightly not accurate to the past, should have been OK with how unstable things are at the moment, some pre-patch joys before going into TBC.
This isn’t a benefit, there’s no ‘integrity’ to gearing at this point in the game, and is only going to harm the players rather than help. Not sure why a 10x nerf was the play here when people have been finding it hard to throw positives in the direction of the current gamestate.
Normally willing to throw you defense Blizz, but, not here.
here we go, someone complaining and making bgs feel worthless. whatever dev agreed with this needs to lose the ability to make changes.
Blizzard just ruined boosting a character.
As Alliance, winning a battleground since playing classic vanilla in my experience has been RARE.
I was actually winning today, started making plans to get some epics since I was never able to before.
19k honor for the epic mageblade… 2200 honor a win earlier, would have taken maybe 9 wins give or take… now it will take 90 wins…
went from maybe getting 4 pieces within the next two weeks resonably, to now maybe getting 1 if i grind all day everyday.
Good job ruining everyones chances at gearing before TBC, especially since most people boosted their characters… lol
uhh 300 honor for an AV win? thats bull, fix it now
Been away from blizzard games for years. Came back finally to enjoy TBC. Immediately let down and reminded why I quit this garbage. I don’t understand how a professional company can operate this poorly.
You know there were actually people who played back then. No way this is even close to right.
I guess thats one way to fix the bg server problems. Just get everyone to stop queuing by turning off honor. Feel bad for all the people that were counting on the r14 for the characters they just paid blizzard to boost. I guess now that they have your $ partys over.
Ok so back then if those values were correct lvl 60 HW gear should be worth at most 6-10k.
“Bold strategy Cotton let’s see if it pays off for them” walks away from the deluxe edition sale
The honor grind just went from something fairly achievable for everyone to extremely obnoxious. Getting a little over 200 honor out of 75k for winning an AV is a complete joke. If anyone who missed out wants to cap their honor now, they’re looking at 100+ hours of BGs in less than 2 weeks to get close to it - and that’s assuming you’re able to actually participate in battlegrounds without getting booted out.
I understand wanting to fix a “bug,” but a case like this where a certain players now get to skip this ridiculous grind because they happened to be doing the right thing at the right time feels extremely unfair, and obviously extremely demoralizing as well. Please revert this “fix” so that the players who didn’t cap their honor during this small window aren’t at a massive disadvantage compared to a select few who are already capped for launch.
Awesome, so instead of getting 400 bonus honor from a wsg I’ll get 40 instead. Seems worth it… /rolleyes
This guys name is literally ‘Andycloud’, you have got to be joking me. One of the only reasons I was excited for tbc launch was to grind out some honor for pvp gear since I heard prepatch time was awesome back in 2008. If you are going to give us 13 days vs the original 30-40 then why are these kind of screw ups happening and why are we being held to the original standards of honor but not time allowed for prepatch?
You legit nerfed honor 1/10 within hours of the server going live and didn’t realize this? Multiple sources were saying that as part of this patch we could easily get pvp gear to enter tbc with. Why? B/c the gear won’t matter by the time we are 65 moving to 70.
Now we need to grind honor 10x more because ‘Andy’ here called out what your team deemed to be a bug? Do you not want people to enjoy playing the game? We went from 1k AV loss in 15mins to 100 for 15mins. If 1 weapon is 13k and you expect any of us to grind 13k honor getting 100 for losses or 300 for wins in AV at 15mins a run that’s over 240 hours of play time in 13 days for 1 weapon!!! (13k/200 average win or loss is 65 instances of AV at 15mins per instance thats 975 mins or divide by 4 = 243 hours in 13 days) That 1 weapon will be replaced in tbc by the time you are 65…
Again do the math, maybe the original value was high but marks were the gate keepers to getting full sets and you do realize that these sets would be replaced in tbc right? What is so crazy to think ppl might enjoy getting honor and entering tbc with some pretty gear? Really really not enjoying this game right now…not enjoying it at all.
terrible change
Ya know what…I’ll take this honor grind in exchange for Andy’s real character name
This happened and I immediately logged off. If this is how it’s gonna be at 70 I can’t do it. Not with the responsibilities I have now. Refund Inc?
Blizzard: Let’s do a TBC classic launch and bring back all the unsubbed accounts!
Us: This is the worst prepatch launch ever. At least honor rates are enjoyable
