Yes, I think they will NEVER touch the class balance in Classic.
It is Vanilla Classic, there is no changing. The only thing that might be changed is some exploitative bug, but they would have already discovered that (unless it was something to do with the rebuilding of the client in particular.)
It is horrible playing with the Hunter “dead zone”, as well as only getting a couple of shots off before I’m meleeing a thing (pre level 10 pet.) That was the way it was.

No, its not.
This is classic. If you dont like it, dont play. The reality is its not changing, the majority dont want it to, the devs have said they dont want to. It doesnt make sense to.

This is ignorance being propagated.
Blizzard has directly stated (in fact there is even references to this in the sticky) that things will NOT STAY LIKE THIS.
GET IT OUT OF YOUR HEAD THAT IT WILL BE LIKE THIS FOREVER. IT WILL NOT HAPPEN. BLIZZARD HAS SAID SO.
No, it’s not. Down-rank your damn spells, then chug a pot and up-rank to beat the enrage timer. It’s called working within constraints, and is part of the charm of re-visiting how things used to be.

Everyone played so badly that balance was mostly hidden.
As a proof to various players they where playing extremely badly. one day our rogue a full clear of mc its just weapons equipped, no armour at all. He was still top dps.
The reality is classes are horrendously balanced. But #nochanges# its a very slippery slope. If I thought they would balance the classes I would not be playing what I am now.
One of the original devs who handed the petition over and helped start the momentum suggests continuing with classic and having it branch away from retail with its own xpacs. So clearly your myopic view of everyone elses vision of what classic should be or should lead to isnt lock step in line with everyone, huh?
Edit: he also said the dead zone was a mistake.
Yeah but I never said they were balanced. I simply explained why it’s not as simple as just buffing underperforming classes/specs without having to go around behind them and re-tune literally everything to keep the experience intact.
Everybody knows class balance and vanilla don’t go in a sentence together.
Dude, take a seat. Calm down. Enjoy Classic for a while.
After phase 6 when we’re all happy and our classic-fix has been satiated this topic likely will not be met with so much abject resistance. I’m not even #nochanges, strictly speaking, but I’m also not really willing to entertain very many of these discussions for a variety of reasons that have been discussed at length in this thread already.

Classes aren’t meant to be balanced.
Everyone elses vision is simple.
They are part of an age of players that are dying off. This age group was raised with power, and over the years that power (VP) is fading out of the industries designs, in place of the more balanced superior form of development (HP) which in the early years of the industry had problems with captivation (ultimately leading to reduced retention rates).
IF that is to hard to understand, let me break it down. The people advocating against small balances (like reducing mana cost on elemental, or slightly improving some mana cost reduction talents) is done OUT OF FEAR OF AN EGOCENTRIC FORM OF GAME PLAY.
If that was still to hard to understand, they want to 1 shot people, and if any balance happens, they thing that is equal to nerfs, which ultimately means removing that egotistically, socially corrupt form of game play.
If you want to talk about lack of intelligence or foresight, maybe you should get some to understand why people are advocating for what they are, and why ultimately that is a bad position.
Thats speculation, and would involve a lot more than forcing progression. Again, you seem to be underestimating the amount of people that want vanilla and nothing else.
The last interview they did before release they said they would be more inclined to go the ‘Burning Crusade’ route, because they’ve done it with classic and have a roadmap to do it again. But there would still be realms locked to classic. Because people want classic as it is, unbalanced and sometimes unfair, but so so fun.

What are you on about dude? I’m saying it’s disrespectful to demand changes for a work of art that’s purpose is to be preserved and out of nowhere your argument would be that of a metaphorical piece of arts history which caused those who enjoy the art to go on riots because they found an aspect of it offensive…and because of that, it’s not art. What do the rioters have to do with the art itself? The mental gymnastics.

there are some of us who played vinilla, and know that specific specs are not viable in things like pve or pvp.
Reducing the mana cost of shamans (for example) will not break classic from being what classic is. For this class there is a few options to fixing that.
Btw, There was a reason why down-ranking was removed. ITS BROKEN. Just wait until the vets remember how to break it, and start doing that again.
How to spot a bad player.

There is no point in arguing with these people.
Some of them are so delusional and think that classic will be as popular as it is now, a month from now.
They ruined what classic could have been with their stupid #nochanges motto that someone in blizzard probably came up with to feed to the masses in order to keep cost down. I mean usually when a game re-releases it is a remaster or has some sort of update. BUT NO they played right into blizzards hands and believed that ‘we can’t make changes because getting just the original game to work will be tough.’ LOOK UP THIS THING CALLED VERSION CONTROL. I seriously doubt they do not have this.

Oof, Im done here. No reason to try and talk sense to a pile of rocks lol.
Btw, I lead public raids for mc, and cleared it on my server. On top of that, i unified my entire faction under a government which i lead for 13 months, which ultimately brought about a battle of 15, 40 man raids vs 13.
If you think im bad my reply is “ok, if you say so”.
What if I want to play an underdog spec?
Don’t touch classic. If you want a fluid in-development game, then great, go play retail. Retail is the result of theory-crafting, mathematical justification, balancing, idealism, and trying to please everyone for years. Classic just works as is. I’ve played since launch and my enjoyment peaked during vanilla and slowly dwindled each expansion up until wotlk, then it completely faded. After that I would purchase and play every expansion in hopes of a positive turnaround and it never came. I gladly waited in a 3 hour queue last night to play classic and had more fun than i’ve had since TBC. To sum it up: IF YOU WANT A FINELY TUNED GAME PLAY RETAIL, CLASSIC IS NOT THAT. I WANT CLASSIC.
