…rrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiight.
If you cant give us info on something like a patch, what else arent you telling us?

I understand why they wouldn’t want to communicate with us, after being on the forums for a while.
/cackle
I mean at least a leak, hint or 3rd party info. Nope not even that. I think it’s safe to say that no comms brings more ire than comms. People can accept alot more when given at least some info. But no info? About a patch? Nah.
I’m not all that bothered by it, but it would make sense to me to announce the prepatch date with the SL launch date. Unless they actually don’t know which just doesn’t make any sense.
Exactly, it makes no sense because they won give us any info.
I don’t know if I can handle such communication like “you guys have phones right??” And “you think you want it but you dont” or the best “we don’t want you playing demonology” or something to that effect.
I gotta tip my hat to that. So true.
Don’t forget Ion’s magnum opus “We took out PvP vendors because I…I mean people couldn’t find them.”
Okay now u guys are depressing me.
They exist in BFA, we just haven’t found them.
Damn well hidden those PvP vendors are. I see what he means now.
This is about Pre-patch?
If so, you are looking at this from a very selfish angle.
They aren’t in the business of committing to prepatch date because things change.
The only thing you need to know is that it will come out before Shadowland’s launch.
Either way, they have been considerably more open with communication this alpha/beta cycle, and got key content in our hands much much earlier than normal.
Unfortunately, since so many people dislike so many things about the game, this caused them to have to make major changes to systems and now they are behind again.
But its certainly not for a lack of communication or preparation.
Not sure how much anyone expected considering every other game company on the planet just immediately delayed their releases in the spring to be safe.
Blizzard said nothing wrong. They said they agreed that they need to communicate more. They’re totally right. They also didn’t mention anything about becoming better at communicating with the community. Which is totally expected and they will most likely continue being terrible at communication.
And they could have voiced every single one of those issues, just like you just did.
Also, as long as I pay a freaking subscription fee to this company, dont you dare tell me I’m being selfish about wanting communication. Dont you dare.
Too late! You are being selfish.
Why does it matter when the prepatch comes?
Why do you need to know about it further in advance than you already do?
He just dared and did. /clap
Paying the company doesn’t give you power to change their ways of communicating. If they wanna suck at communication then it shall be.
I’m sure blizz has a stable release of Pre-Patch and at this point is choosing dynamically wether or not to release version A or version B and cram as many fixes as possible or wait until shadowlands for certain fixes.
Consider SL Done at this point, they’re probably working on 9.1 9.2 already.
The last minute rush to release must be maddening over there.
I would not want to be on the team right now.
Stress levels through the roof trying to make it all work well.
There’s still countless bugs on the test realm. Lots of things still need testing and fixing even at this point.
IMO scrap the prepatch and just focus on making Shadowlands launch good.
Go-Live are extremely stressful on Support and Technical people. While we’re here yelling at PR and Marketing people.
