We absolutely need Might of Stormwind in anniversary

Rend caps for Alliance side are 125g on the regular now, sometimes as high as 150. It can also be up to 40 minutes of waiting around for the buff (past the timer) and having your Capper end up afk when it drops.

Blizzard please, when will the madness end.

You only need MoS and Rend for that matter to parse in a 20+ year game.

Red herring. Parses are irrelevant to 99% of the player base.

When the third party website says so because apparently people keep twisting themselves into pretzels over it.

Maybe January we’ll see TBC launch.
Then all that won’t matter.
(not like it matters much now but still)

nope, we don’t :expressionless: and furthermore, MCed alliance players should NOT get the warchief blessing. it’s an exploit, period.

Except its not. Every other buff is able to be placed on an MC’d character. An exploit would be faction tagging yourself as horde without a MC.

You of all people need all the world buffs you can get. You are nothing but a carry in a raid.

You don’t need the buff to raid.

Here’s a solution

Don’t get it

Rend’s really that valuable? Yeesh.

Correct, but its fun to have.

Then reroll horde.

but if you’re not getting it for parsing, then it’s optional and kind of an adventure you’re going on for this buff.

I find it interesting that the original devs never made an equivalent for alliance, maybe at the time they felt it’s not necessary because, like yourself, they weren’t interested (or in their case perhaps, not aware) of parsing culture.

I think a good number of classic players like the asymmetry between factions which is why you receive pushback on this idea

The devs have stated world buffs were just fun things devs did on their own while messing around making content. There was no real plan behind them.

I enjoy the asymmetry between factions, such as faction locked paladin/shamans and qiests throughout the world. Rend buff being faction locked makes zero difference when alliance can still get it. Stormrend changes nothing fundamentally.

Ok great since they are just fun things you don’t need them on Ally and you can reroll Horde if it’s more fun for you.

Well, it technically does otherwise you wouldn’t be asking to make it available. It’s a quality of life request.

I recall hearing anecdotes of private servers that let you get whatever buff you wanted from an NPC. There are degrees of convenience for everything and its tricky for devs to walk the tightrope.

It’s also easier for them to leave it as-is when it arguably hasn’t had a gigantic impact on player involvement - could be wrong about that though, we are all just speculating a bit here

Matters to people leveling. These buffs make a big difference.

Good idea.

Add stormrend + remove boon and worldbuffs upon entering raid.

Yeah lets do that.
