I don’t. What I have hostility over is being told for 4 years that my way of playing was just fine, and then being told it’s not, and then suddenly people who didn’t play my class during those first 4 years thinking Titan’s Grip is the way it’s always been, and the only way it should ever be. I’ve literally had arguments in game over people who believed Warriors could dual wield 1h weapons AFTER they could dual wield 2h weapons.
People saw Wrath of the Lich King as peak game time when everyone and their mothers played WoW, which is probably true. This is how Fury was played during WotLK, therefor it’s the only way it should ever be played going forward. And it just sucks.
Again, I am fine with transmog being an option. I am just tired of people who’ve only known Titan’s Grip, arguing against the existence of SMF. What would happen if suddenly Arms could only do a 1H weapon and nothing in the offhand? That’s how I feel about this.
Because it should be something both classes share. And the history of the Hero class itself should hold some level of respect toward design. Mountain King was a thing, there is lore about it, and it’s about dual wielding 1h weapons as well as being a defender of their people. That is how I’ve played my class since Vanilla.
I don’t really know how to explain the Prot/Arms combo other than maybe allowing 2H/Shield combo. I mean Fury already screws around with a 2H in a single hand, so how bad could it be to give that Hero class a 2H/Sword combo?
Hell, I’ve argued for SMF being a “support class” since before Evokers and support classes were announced. I even went with Necrolord as my Shadowlands group so I could try to use my banner for support, since I knew the damage of my spec was garbage itself.
Honestly, I am just arguing with a wall at this point. The vast majority of Fury Warriors are TG, and they don’t give a damn about SMF existing in general, and those who argue in support are always insulted over being stupid.
Warriors don’t need an out of combat spell, since their entire thing is combat. They have shouts that help their allies and harm their enemies.
