1st attempt, got credit for 3 escorts but shield never dropped.
2nd attempt, shield dropped, killed boss and got no quest credit. Loot was a grey item “moldy rations” worth 72s 67c.
3rd attempt, killed boss, no loot, no quest credit.
Giving up for now.

I have the same problem, in this case will we have the week lost with this world boss?
4th try, no completion.
PS: 2nd week with broken pacts in AK, and my guild bank is still empty from when they made most items poof at the beginning of pre-patch. I’m starting to feel pretty stupid for sticking with this.

EDIT: Yes! Apparently the only way to get it to work is to solo it. 2 Weathered Harbinger Crests was the reward. GL to getting this completed if you are having this problem.
EDIT2: Not sure if you are meant to receive the same reward as every other regular WQ (2 weathered harbinger crests). It’s what I received on my 5th try finally completed the quest (solo). If so, please also take it as a suggestion that you up the reward for world raid boss WQs in TWW.

I didnt get a reward after completing the quest. Isnt the world quest supposed to give some reward?
It gave me 2 crests and 1 WQ credit toward ‘world awaits’
Tried two different times with no completion. Loot actually dropped for me on the first kill.
I’ve tried it, set up a group to do it. First, I was notified the group had become cross-faction, then couldn’t invite anyone else to the group, even I manually switched it to a raid.
I didn’t receive completion for the world quest, though I did get loot from the boss.
Just made my 4th attempt. First 2 in raid group, 3rd attempt was solo and 4th was in 5 person group. Still haven’t received credit for the kill.

I’ve killed the f’n thing 3 times as well. No loot, no credit nothing. A fix sure would be nice!
Looking at group finder for the WQ, it would seem you’re not able to invite beyond a 5-person group. It’s probably not properly flagged as a raid quest, so doing it in a raid group likely won’t count for completion (or loot?) until it’s fixed.
The first time I killed the boss in a raid group, I got a piece of grey slime and no WQ credit. 2nd time, I killed not in a party, got the WQ credit, but no loot.
I don’t understand what is going on. Did I just screw myself out of loot or was the grey slime THE loot? lol.
Since I actually lucked out when I did it myself, I can confirm that if you get loot from the WB, it’s pushed directly into your bags like any WQ reward. I was still able to collect my gray vendor trash off the corpse afterward. So you didn’t miss out, you just didn’t win the gear roll.
I just can’t get credit for the world quest. I have done it 5 times now and have just given up.
Only way i got credit for the quest was to be solo/party of 5 or less, and not in a raid group. But other people who did the same still didnt get credit.
Super buggy.
When I did it outside a group I got the 2 crests directly, same crest prize as any other non-elite WQ, but without any sort of reward, such as gold or loot. Basically, a pet battle or kill 10 non-elites pays better.
Both my husband and are unable to complete the world quest today, 12/31/24. Quest shows complete on both our maps but is still there.
Orta in azjkahet did that to me the other week, I had to leave the area and come back a couple of time to trigger it to complete.
