As enhancement, is there any way to clear snares/roots, either in SL or coming up in DF besides spirit walk on a 1 minute cd?
There is also Thunderous Paws talent in Dragonflight that removes snares via using Ghost Wolf on 1 min CD.
Both options seem kinda meh compared to other classes root / snare breaks on 15-30s CD, so could use buffs. For example, Thunderous Paws talent could get 30s CD instead to match other classes and Spirit Walk choice node could get more accessible via moving higher in the tree or reducing Winds of Al’Akir and Nature’s Fury to 1 point nodes.
you can’t be slowed below 100 in wolf
once you’re comfortable with it you won’t ever really feel hindered by snares
as for roots spirit walk is the only option now and going forward
use it when it matters and not at minor inconveniences
other answer being positional awareness
don’t chase a resto shaman behind a pillar and LoS a dispel
which is obviously pretty bad for enhance
if it broke roots maybe but there isn’t a snare in the game that would make this talent good
Question about this. If I take ghostwolf talents that increase the movement speed of ghostwolf by x%, does that become the new baseline for the “can’t be slowed below”?
Would be really cool if it did. Just not sure how you could measure to see if it works like that.
Edit: Actually, what if that was the node choice “Thunderous paws”? Movement speed can not be reduced below 130% while in ghostwolf, and you can use crash lightning while in ghostwolf? That way, we don’t just get a generic 30 second root break like most other classes, but it is still a powerful movement ability imo. That is really fast while u are in ghostwolf.
It’s still just 100% of normal run speed.

I added that purely because I wanted it to still be called thunderous paws. Lol but I love the increased minimum slow speed idea.
While we are at it. lets add a PVP totem called sentry totem again. but instead of gaining vision like it used to, make it have stealth detection. Not highlighting, but it makes a visual/audio alarm of some kind when an enemy is within vicinity. if they kill it, that’s when it briefly highlights anyone within vicinity. We could react with an earth grab totem or something. Would be really cool.
Has counter play, provides an advantage, is a totem. good pvp addition.
Why would they kill it? Just open on you instead.
We are getting alot of good stuff to combat rogues though.
Like elemental orbit, surging shields, thunderstorm, instant MSW generation, nature’s swiftness, ability to run feral lunge AND nature’s guardian, spirit wolf AND earth shield, etc…
Really looking forward to all the new tools we are getting. Since I got beta, I haven’t played retail at all. Beta enhance just feels so much better.

Ha! I am druid and because people cry about each classes’ individual ability (rock, paper, scissors) i lost my (r,p,s) ability - shapshift out of roots and snares. Sure - sometimes i can shift out but i can not shift from form to form any more. I have to shift out of form to shift into form! Imagine this scenario: a DK stomping his/her foot on the ground screaming and crying to blizzard- " i cant make druid stay still so i can kill it…whyyyyyyyy sniffle sniffle WHAHHHHHHH" So some bone head decided to take half of the druids tools. Power shift, 15 second fear immunity, thorns (came back as a casted useless husk of what it was) symbiosis, and put all instants on the gcd as well as shifting. I stopped pvp for all that. The other day i log into dragon and enable world pvp only to be indefinately rooted! I shift- it reapplies! I shift it reapplies without a 3 time dim return? Lmao wtf. I feel your pain. Maybe i go revisit classic again
