Way of the Crane currently does no healing. 4 Rising Sun Kicks during crane will do the same healing as 1 judgment during melee wings from a paladin.
I don’t care too much if Crane is bad, the problem is that MW Conflict and Strife gives us Way of the crane which makes me sad! I find myself in some games where I play Conflict and Strife where I don’t press crane once.
Either buff crane or replace the conflict and strife to something else such as Disarm or reintroduce mistwalk.
Imagine doing a 30k rising sun kick and claiming to never heal. I can’t damage through any mw using crane. So I don’t know what the issue is. Sounds like a arms warrior or unholy sitting on top of you lol
my friend is a MW main and we’ve been playing since Legion. When WoTC was nerfed “to the ground baby” it pretty much ended MW. I dont know how blizzard can nerf a core ability of MW and NOT reimburse or buff other abilities. smh.
Judgment is a ranged spell that has been seen to crit pretty high and traits are a big modifier to its damage. It’s not rare to see an Hpal topping DPS while popping wings.
I don’t know about the mana cost tho, but WoTC is a flat 25% base mana before modifiers, such as Mana Tea, which has a 1.5min CD.
So tell me again how having a bigger damage increase and more healing from this damage as well as a ranged nuke makes it weaker than WoTC apart from the 2 min CD?
Mistweavers need something. Without mistwalk or legion way of the crane, they lack identity. These moves were overpowered but when you’re choosing which healer to play with, each one should have strengths that stand out.
I loved Legion mistweaver. It was one the most fun rewarding healers in the entire game.
If it hadn’t been so OP in 2’s, we’d probably still have it.
I think they should just remove that bracket, because nothing good comes from it
Yeah I didn’t speculate on Wings mana cost because I don’t know how much it costs but yeah, feels bad when the melee oriented healer is forced to play max range.
Removing the 2v2 bracket doesn’t fix anything. The issue is that the spells and mechanics that gave mw monks identity aren’t viable right now, and they are forced to play a very passive playstyle.
Crane has been “fixed” and rendered unviable in PvP because the spell was available in PvE with the Conflict and Strife essence, not because it was too strong in 2v2.
