Just hearted to Valdrakken because I forgot to set my hearth to Dorn and Valdrakken had a bunch of people running out of the inn and that was about it. I’m assuming people are forgetting to set there hearthstones like me and or getting on alts. Nice pointless troll post though
My golf score is better than yours
not everyone has early accesss.
Subjective post is subjective… And on that note, I’m so sick of people being so myopic and insular! What you see and hear is not the entirety of reality in this game, or out in the real world! There are so many variables that it’s difficult for me to even comprehend how people can make posts like these and, seemingly, truly believe the trite, narrowly focused subjective experience that they are perceiving as the only thing out there! Wake up! Look around you! Poke your head out the window! Read an opinion that you don’t agree with! Stop being ignorant, because it is a choice!
wow ppl flag anything…
“i saw more ppl in valdrakken than in dorn…”
BURRY HIM!
cmon people chill out.
*side note. dorn doesnt perform all that great, albeit better than valdrakken. i miss Oribos at this point… never thought id say that ![]()
at least it performed great.

“I saw people.”
YOU SAW PEOPLE? BURN THE HEATHEN!
as a engineer too, i honestly feel like its better, alot of junk to look through, and i can build a mech out of junk!
engi would be good even if it only had the battle rez tbh.
the only reason i dont take it… i run poor pretty quick if i do alch/engi without gathering… and i HATE having an alt for professions.
im very much a “one toon at a time” type of gamer… so it’s alch/herb… sadly.
- i WILL switch to alch/engi if i somehow become a multi-millionaire from boes or whatever.
Is it possible, and keep an open mind here, that people are out doing content instead of hanging out in capital cities? I know it’s a wild thought… New expansion, new dungeons, new zones, new quests, new world events, new rares, new delves, 10 new levels, but you might be onto something. People wouldn’t be doing new content in a new expansion, that would just be silly. If they aren’t in dornogal they clearly must either be in valdrakken or already quit the game.
Update your graphics drivers religiously. Valdrakken regularly made my machine run like garbage if I ever ignored a graphics driver update at all. But totally fine after updating. Only Valdrakken. Have had similar in Dorn already. Still fine after updating though.
There are probably dozens of Dornogal phases on any given cluster, sometimes you get into an empty one, sometimes it’s packed. The game has been cluster based for years, with people being spread out over multiple phases to spread the load and prevent overcrowding. If you have ever been fighting an enemy or trying to open a resource node or treasure only for it to despawn in front of you, that’s the game rebalancing the load and moving you to a different phase.
There are still tons of people that hang out in dalaran. People like what they like
I went back there on my 80s because the new cities suck.
I just did a /who valdrakken and /who dornogal on my server where server time is 12:50am.
There were 4 in valdrakken - 3 70s and a 79.
There were a few hundred in dornogal (had to do /who by class) - about half were level 80.
A very different result than the opening poster.
I keep forgetting to set my hearth.
If I had to guess it’s because the crafting space and AH are closer together and way easier to navigate
On my server, Dornogal is busy, Valdrakken isn’t.
You can level to 70 in other areas since official launch. Check the map.
I’ve had two different experiences going back to Valdrakken. One time it was completely empty, which was sad, and another time it was filled with people, which was kind of nice, but confusing.
We want to be in a world with other players, but not too many.
My assumption is that it has to do with the tech they’ve developed to manage that experience for us. I can’t remember what it’s callled, but sometimes when we enter a zone we’re consolidated with X number of other realms. Sometimes X is a large number, and sometimes it’s small.
Never said you couldn’t. I just said it was the default.
