Way more people in Valdrakken than Dornogal

I just went back to Valdrakken and for whatever reason it was more crowded than I’ve ever seen it before. Then I went to Dornogal and the city is pretty much dead. Maybe 20 people in total.

Why is that? Is War Within so bad that people just went back to Dragonflight?

Well people might actually be out doing other things in Khaz Algar, doing content in other zones, given that it’s current

Why are so many 80s hanging out in Valdrakken then? They’ve been doing that for years already. Isn’t it time to move on to Dornogal?

Layering??

would it not just be people logging onto their alts deciding what to level next

Sometimes, for the sake of faster loading - it makes quite a bit of sense to not set your hearth at the new faction hub, especially with the portals that are in place.

Also, given the size of the new faction hub it may be perceived as easier to get around. Additionally, the layout of Valdrakken may be more streamlined for some.

Finally, as someone else mentioned, alts. Some may be deciding what to level next and getting situated where they last parked their alts.

I finished up the campaign last night and more folks were out questing still rather than parked at the capital city of Dornogal by a huge margin, my guess not everyone is rushing to 80 and are taking time to level enjoying the expansion.

most of them hanging out there is probably achieved at least 2-3 warband mentors.
what you see is getting ready next one to move… because i do same… most of my alts parked out there.

If they are anything like me, they forgot to reset their hearthstones and decided thats going to be their home for another 2 years.

There’s…a lot to do on a daily, weekly and sometimes hourly basis, and that’s before you take leveling alts into account. I’m certainly not hanging around Dornogal at the moment.

I spend maybe an hour in Dornagal once a day for profession stuff.

I’m usually just passing through after hearthing to Org as needed. My friend will probably be crafting, so I’ve just been passing my mats to them. Personally, I hate it, or I’d be participating in crafting as well.

Engineering, to me at least, feels better in TWW than it did in DF.

Valdrakken is easier to navigate in my opinion. Also, pretty dragons.

MAybe because Dornogal is in a new expansion and people are out leveling or doing side quest for cheevos or doing dungeons and delves while those that didn’t get TWW are sitting in Valdraken twiddling their thumbs.

I guess mileage varies. I was there in the middle of the afternoon yesterday and saw 1 other person.

Could also be like me. I haven’t purchased TWW. I renewed my sub to spend my coins on September’s trading post and do some Classic Cataclysm. I’d be able to go to Valdrakken but not the new city.

Dragonflight is also the default 10-70 leveling expansion now.

Players are spening that last little bit of bronze and getting OLD gear back after the mob buffs in TWW the other day. I did and now I feel better in my old gear than this new crap that took Haste and Crit away and just drop vers and mastery.

It’s actually more than that. I see level 80s doing Time Rifts and the Superbloom. What kind of completionism could this be? Getting tier sets? That’s strictly cosmetic for 80s now.

Why are they doing DF events like Time Rifts?

I am looking forward to seeing how far you get in DF starting from 10. It feels like you would be light.

Are they? No tier set bonuses for 80s now from DF gear (which I disagree with Blizzard doing, for the record).

Here’s another possibility because I’m considering it: go back and complete legacy content until the scaling in TWW gets fixed either directly or it simply gets easier with 111.1 gear.

Everything in TWW feels like a chore. Everything takes too long to die. Now you can’t pull the dungeon you have to do pack after pack after pack and I struggle not to fall asleep from boredom.
