I got around the agent being asleep today by opening the WoW app manually (non-Classic version) and its using quite a lot more CPU than normal. My computer’s fan revs way up during load screens is how I noticed this; its using nearly 300% CPU during load screens according to Activity Monitor. When not in a load screen, its still using over 100% CPU. (Not really sure what the numbers mean since its over 100%).
According to the CPU Load display, most of this CPU usage is System usage, but I just rebooted so I’m sure it is WoW doing it.
Those both sound normal
over 100% is normal because it treats each logical core as 100% which means if it’s an 8 core machine you can go up to 800%
loading screens usually are cpu heavy and then when in game just over 100 is also normal.
The System using over 30% CPU is not normal. It’s well below 5% when WoW isn’t running right now, and not much higher when WoW Is running until today.
EDIT: Now that the blizzard Agent is fixed, I launched WoW from the bnet app and the System CPU is the under 10% it usually is. So there’s some sort of memory leak or something when its launched from its own app.
EDIT2: and the Wow app is now using about 20% CPU when in the background, when it was over 100% before.

Oh right, I forgot about the bug where app uses more cpu if you bypass launcher.
but those cpu numbers aren’t abnormal for high end graphic settings either. Because I run at 200% render scale, it’s normal for me to see a lot more cpu load in some places.
