[Wave Broadband] High Latency/Connection Issues

Same area. I’m able to log in at normal latency for about 10 minutes at a time, get disconnected, and in a minute or two able to re-login. Rinse and repeat lol.

Unfortunately, Wave is refusing to begin a port security reconfiguration because I use my own modem. Anyone figure out how to proceed with Wave in this situation?

I use my own modem and the problem seems fixed.

Same here. Sheridan Oregon Wave broadband customer.

Contacted wave about re-configuration. They told me for 19.99 a month extra they can assign me a static ip address…

Can confirm that South Kitsap seems to have been remedied.

Wave stated they could not do this and the symptoms continue. Sheridan Oregon wave broadband customer. Connection issue, consistent dislocation, high ping rate, instability/unable to communicate with blizzard servers.

I am also able to play normally without using the VPN workaround. I had not yet called Wave, but it seems they made a port security configuration change on Friday night around 6p PDT that caused Blizzard servers to reject the packets. Clearly Wave has resolved this issue on the Olympic Peninsula in WA state.

whats the deal with nevada? this past 2 weeks these random ms and world spikes are just preventing me from M+ and raiding. like what do i need to post?

I don’t know what the deal with Nevada is but this thread was in response to Oregon, Washington State, and California WAVE customers that could not connect to the game.

If you are having an issue with latency or ms spikes then you should start a thread with all the relevant information pertaining to the issue, ie what you have done that has not worked that sort of thing.

Try posting the information you get from this also:

When are they planning to fix this? The vpn on McAffee worked fine for a bit, even paid for Proton VPN, called wave several times. No fix. Hard to push high keys when im at 900+ latency.

I contacted WaveG support over Twitter after calling their tech support a few times with no success.

This is what I received:

[edit] I encourage everyone to Tweet at them – it’ll be the only way this gets fixed.

Unsure if related to this, but I am now unable to log into the game after 9.2.5 release. As soon as I switch to a VPN, everything connects like normal. However, connecting with Wave Broadband, I just can’t even log in after opening the game. (Wave Broadband user in Northern California-Sacramento area)

Don’t necro.
