Water, water, everywhere but not a drop to drink

Cata Classic. Retail Season 4. MoP Remix.

And yet no version of WoW I want to play right now.

Where is Season of Discovery Phase Four?

Oh.

Thought this was going to be about Coleridge or Iron Maiden.

I finished what I wanted to do in season 4 (all portals and heroic raids cleared for the achievement) so I’m thinking it’s time for a break.

SoD has been lame, I have no interest in leveling a new character so panda remix lasted about 20 min for me, and no desire to play Cata.

I may putz around in Era a bit and focus on other things.

I really wish you hadn’t figured out how to increase text size.

Why are you asking us? Go ask in the forum that cares.

I nope’d out of SoD when the 20 man raid format was introduced. don’t miss it at all.

are they perhaps going back to 10 or are they sticking with the 20?

Phase 3 should last 6 weeks tops.

Consider the 8 week release cycle in Retail. We often get big drops while multiple new activities. Phase 3 of SoD had one revamped dungeon into a raid and 18 quests that were copy and pasted to 3 different zones.

It’s so sad because phases 1 and 2 were amazing. But they needed to pick up steam not slow down.

Here’s to coping we get phase 4 ptr tonight.

I nope’d out of SoD when it became more of a min max fest than retail WoW. Phase 1 was an absolute blast.

What killed it was the down time between P1 and P2 where people where getting BiS for going into P2 - and then now all of a sudden if you didn’t have P1 BiS, good luck getting into raids for P2

it was always a bit crazy to me how many groups would be all “checking logs!”

as if that matters for the content.

The log checking is a meme. I did the raid with 17 people the other night because we literally could not find anyone with a heartbeat. Another night we took a guy who only autoattacked.

People use declining numbers to push false agendas. There is no gate keeping conspiracy. Mop Remix, a self-proclaimed casual game mode, likely has x1000 more gatekeeping than current SoD.

idk, I didn’t play SoD s3

but groups were absolutely (and stupidly) log checking in s2 :woman_shrugging:

I don’t really understand your angle. You want 10 mans but you also want to be able to blend into a crowd? Those things are just not compatible.

neh, I raided with a group of friends, it’s not about me.

other than I thought it was absolutely stupid that people checked parses for trivial content you could do with half the raid being rutabagas. it just didn’t merit the log checking.

I suppose that what I think is also largely irrelevant as I don’t play the mode anymore.

Supply and demand.

You could probably literally /follow in ST as a feral Druid and get an inv.

Gnomer was super popular and fun and everyone wanted to join a raid and no one wanted to put a raid together. When 15 rogues want to join your raid you pick the best one.

That’s not really gatekeeping. Waiting 20 minutes until you’ve found 20 froggers, that’s gatekeeping.

you’re not wrong

all you need is one

(i kid)

I don’t play Remix so I don’t know about it more than second hand info. But it sounds toxic AF.

Classic players when their 20 year old game isn’t constantly getting updated :scream:
