Make it so nobody has an unfair advantage because they grinded for one mount,

I think that, while you have a good argument that the Strider should not have been introduced in the first place (although I disagree), I feel you are misusing the word “unfair”.

Unfair would be to only allow certain people to access the grind. Everyone could have gotten the water strider. It is not “unfair” that someone engaged in part of the game you disliked and chose not to. (or chose to, and still has nightmares. )

Oh,does this equipment applies to flying mounts as well? or just land mounts?

It’s supposed to be all mounts, but there are many that won’t water walk with the equipment added.

edit I just logged into PTR and tested the majority of my flyiing mounts and only a couple of them will get out of the water. It fails. The water walking ability really sucks and doesn’t work on ALL mounts like they said.

So anti-dazing would be the only one for flying mounts,unless it’s a the parachute .

The thing you have to really love they add this token to make all mounts water walking mounts at the same time they activate fight for this xpac so really outside of leveling in old content prior to ability of flight, water walking wont matter, nor will daze or safe fall. You will be flying in 8.2.

But for the future we might have to use a water walking mount.

And by the time the next expansion rolls around the players who have remained will have given up complaining - until they find water walking delayed until part 2 of pathfinder and flying delayed until part 3.

Hey, Bornakk, see the text in bold? You say we can keep the ability just as you have it now, but that’s not really true, is it? You are nerfing the ability to where it takes damage when you jump into the water from the ship.

And what is a “wrong choice” for a mount? If I choose to ride ONE SINGLE mount all the time when on the ground, does that make my choice “wrong”, or does that make the choice “mine”?

You have really failed this time. I always have supported your changes, but this one really stinks.

No they will have ground mobs with amazing ranged weapons shooting you out of the air, dismounting you off your flyiing mount. Better have that parachute that will take you 1/2 way to the ground and then fail, dropping you to the ground… dead. Yes, it’s slightly exaggerated, but I can see the ground mobs dismounting us with ranged weapons.

Hey Blizzard, you want to talk about immersion? It will be real immersive to see a massive mammoth or a yak walking on water. My god, do you people even have eyes to see what you’re doing? Stop trying to cater to “new players”. THERE ARE NO NEW PLAYERS. You are spitting on your veterans for the grinding they had to do to the water strider because Ion woke up one day in a pissy mood and decided he doesn’t like that bug anymore.

This is a scary thought. If true.

He said cyclical. As the interest waned for MMO-RPGs, Blizzard pivoted to focus on attracting the gamers of the day. These gamers pick up games then drop them as they go. They are not, truly, MMO-RPG players who remain subscribed and made WoW the success it was. (still arguably a success as it remains the largest for it’s age) If you stop your sub until the next patch, or the next expac - you’re a modern gamer. (btw - no judgement being made)

Yes Ion said cyclical. They are going after the huge Asian market which switches games at the drop of a hat. This is why the next “don’t you guys have phones” Diablo mobile is being done. It is to appeal to the Asian market.

Blizzard has pretty much thrown the loyal continuous subscriber out of the window. They don’t realize that the steady customer is the bread and butter.

I’ve been playing a long time. It was just a matter of time before Activision got rid of all blizzard employees that actually cared about the game/customers/players.

How many here think Blizzard would go so far as to UP the chance to get dazed, so that more folks are annoyed enough to switch to the anti daze mount item

They have already done this. Run through mobs and see how often you are dazed. It is a heck of a lot more frequent than it was in past Xpacs. So I could see people using that piece of equipment as leveling, and with all the water we will be encountering in the new naga zone, people will need to decide if they want to swap equipment pieces or just stick to one. The price of the items on the AH will make that determination.

Well, they do have to try and keep up with King. All those micro-transactions is very tempting and as seen with candy crush, locking people out of content with the enticing easy to use micro-transaction to unlock the gate for a low low price that you won’t notice until you get your credit card bill works. (well it will until there ends up being some regulation/other litigation)

THIS is honestly the straw that’s about to do me in. I can work around the portals, I can work around losing water walking on my beloved skitterbug. But I can’t work around the complete lack of trust I have in Blizzard.

It’s getting kinda old looking at any new upcoming patch notes and looking for stuff we are going to lose. It’s like, I really don’t care that much about what they are adding I just hope i don 't lose something else.
