the mount is timegated
mythic jaina isn’t
the mount is obtainable by mostly anyone just from doing asinine tasks that I don’t want to do
mythic jaina isn’t

This is true, yes, but the book was at the shrine from the beginning of the expansion. The first person to reach 90 and the Shrine bought flying, I think it was within the first few days of the expansion. No year-later availability bullspit.

I don’t recall saying anything about whether rogues are overpowered or not.

It isn’t overpowered for 2 main reasons:

  1. Everyone can have one – Yes they need to do the work to get it, but work isn’t a bad thing (and now it is cheap and easy)
  2. There are alternatives if you don’t have/want it. Water walking potions have been in game a lot longer than striders have, and everyone has access to those as well.

Since you did bring up rogues. They move faster than I can move, they can sneak around where I can’t, smack me on the head, they can steal my stuff, they can vanish even when in combat.

Should everyone start up a petition that they should remove rogues from the game because they have an advantage over the rest of us? Or do we just play a rogue if we want that advantage?

Based on your train of thought, the petition is the route to go because it is not fair that they have an advantage over others in this area.

In fact, we should start a petition that eliminates all advantages within this game. Warlocks, sorry those gates of yours give you an advantage. They must go!

Seems silly doesn’t it? We all have choices in this game. At any point anyone in the game could have worked for that mount. And if, like you, they don’t want to fish, they could use water walking potions.

The more restrictive they make the game, the less fun it becomes.

TL:DR: You play your way, please allow me to play mine.

Took me a bit too. She’s good, i’ll give her that much.

I see you are approaching this from more of a PVP side of things. Your past post history is quite colorful. I do agree that PVP and PVE should not have to intertwine, but that is not how they built the game sadly.

Since I looked it up to make sure, how is the water strider unfair or OP in PVP since it is disabled in BGs or are you speaking mainly from Warmode.

Jaina is timegated, Like the mount, the further the game moves along, the easier she will be to solo.

good for you, you got the rep, but the rewards should never have been an advantage in completely different parts of the game several expansions later
I’m not lazy I am just, and you’re god complex is irredeemable

oye yoy, if we are going down that route that are far greater concerns for pvp mobility than water walking.

No, it’s more like ‘‘Hehe lets see how many people I can con into answering mr so I can feel like a big boi.’’.
TL:DR confirmed troll.

I’m out of likes (sigh again) but +1 to all of this.

There’s also the fact that currently, one can get the rep to get the water strider starting at level 90 in Pandaria. Once this system is implemented, water walking won’t be available until level 100 when this system unlocks, so this new system is also a downgrade for brand new players who are leveling their first character. It delays their access to a water walking mount by an extra 10 levels.

The only folks who benefit from this system are Blizzard. Anyone who thinks otherwise is just playing into their hands.

it honestly would not anger me one bit, because I can get gold from any part of the game, and I don’t understand the equipment as of right now, but if my assumption is correct and one equipment slot equates to different mount then wonderful

Hm. I recall being required to PvP as part of earning either the MoP legendary cape or WoD legendary ring, I forget which.

HAAATED it. But I did it.

And there were some achieves/mounts I wanted from pvp, cosmetic not special function… and despite HATING pvp, I did enough to get them.

And there’s that abomination where you have to capture a tower in alterac? arathi? for Orphan’s Week to get that meta achieve, and it’s impossible because the only BG you can get into is one where someone else just dropped because they captured the tower you needed… and now you can’t and have to re-queue again and again and again.

So you complaining about having to fish a little for something USEFUL is filling me with a whole bunch of “aww, suck it up buttercup”.

lol you can get the mount much faster than a weapon from Mythic Jaina. Almost no one in the game, 1% of players probably, have access to that.

I wasn’t aware that the quest to get 5 TW Dungeons has its raid quality loot removed. My bad.

Your loyalty earned you the removal of water walking from your class mount. It sounds like you’re just salty about it and want everyone else to be salty because you don’t feel like spending a little time acquiring the alternative.

This isn’t a buffed change though  You can have all 3 of the proposed equipment slot items working at the same time in the live game now. They are removing that and limiting us to just chooseing one, and only one.

The water striders cannot be used for water walking in battlegrounds, in in the open world they are a terrible choice for PvP.

I’ve just done “Against Overwhelming Odds” on a bunch of toons all over BfA zones and not seen a water strider anywhere, because they are death traps. One ping and you’re struggling in the water, slowed so badly anyone can pick you off. Even in Nazmir, players there for the fighting were using other mounts and going around the water.
