well. someone did. Quite some time ago when this game had a team that actually wanted to make a good game that was awesome and wasnt utterly demon possessed by greed.
same thing with Magic the Gathering
Used to be an expansion and maybe a core set a year.
Then they got greedy and stupid sloppy and started putting out an expansion every quarter.
After that its been like a mindless whirlwind of crap being shot out of a cannon at the playerbase at a pace that most older players really want nothing to do with.
At a point I just quit playing altogether. I have boxes of competitive decks and tons of cards just gathering dust now.

Blizzard is letting activision cause them to do the same with WoW.
