Earth Ele
Fire Ele
Storm Ele
We lost AG. Perfect time to introduce a Water Ele CD.
3min CD. 15sec Uptime. Buffs all healing by 15% and casts a Riptide on an injured party member every 3 seconds. Would be a nice CD for spread healing.
And more importantly, give us the flavor CD we have wanted for a while. It’s silly to not finish the job and give the class it’s 4th Elemental.

Last time Shamans got something too close to mage lore they removed gust of wind for an expansion or two.
I think theyd probably call of something else like “tide elemental” or something as not to overlap with mages. I’m not against it.
In BFA the Highmountain Tauren Shamans summoned River Ele’s, why can’t we just piggy back off that?.

Was just about to make a thread on this, and I was gonna suggest it be 2.5 Minute cooldown, 20 second duration, and it throws around riptides and hydrobubbles.
I never understood why we don’t have a water elemental already. We’ve seen npcs summon them, and they were there in the class order hall too.

Agreed, and even more so, I don’t understand why mages use water elementals instead of ice. Very weird choice early in the formation of Warcraft’s lore.

Agreed. And I’m not going to ? their decisions from Vanilla anymore lol but seems like an easy thing to update over the years.
I’m guessing they took some inspo from EQ where Magicians could summon one of the elements as a pet.
Anyone who has played a perma pet class eventually learns how frustrating it can get lol. But at this point, not hard to update Frost Mage to have a “Ice” elemental since it’s no longer permanent.
It’s such an obvious thing to me that I actually expect to see something like it introduced into the Resto Tree in the next couple years.
