Why do people keep talking to the watchers in Ulduar? Just some new way to troll and stop people getting 0 lights? The watchers buffs are entirely pointless. Yogg+0 is trivially easy. It’s hard to believe it’s not deliberate trolling when you join a skip and one DB goes to the Conservatory and runs the circuit talking to them.
Did you all agree beforehand to not do that?
I might need more insight into why this is somehow trolling. Keep in mind, the last time I ran this was during prog back in Wrath. So I’m clearly not remembering what the problem may be with this.
I don’t recall how it works either, but if there are NPC’s to talk to, things to kill or interact with, you can be damned sure that someone will do it lol

It’s difficulty options for Yogg basically. Hard mode you fight him without any watcher buffs. Sounds like OP wanted to do hard mode but their party didn’t.
They are basically a safety net of sorts. I get annoyed when they are activated too, but I get it. It makes the boss fight a little less painful while allowing everyone to get their weekly caches faster.
What is actually annoying about it? Honestly I’ve only ever done that place years after its heyday for farming. Never during timewalking. I didn’t even know about the watcher buffs until long after I’d done it many times. So I’ve never used them.
In a skip run when everyone should be going to Yogg’s prison, but ONE guy goes and talks to them all?
I’ve seen one wipe on Yogg +0, and I’m pretty sure +4 wouldn’t have saved it. And I saw a victory +0 with literally half the raid dead. +0 is trivial. It takes more time to turn on the watchers than you save by activating the watchers.
If you kill Yogg with no watchers present, the mount can drop.

Oh right. Yeah that would be annoying then. Does it have a higher chance during timewalking?
Nah. But it does provide an extra weekly chance. The weekly cache also has a chance to drop it.

You have a better chance of it dropping from the timewalking cache than from Yogg.

Yea, counting on a no lights kill during TW week for a mount drop chance is pretty stupid TBH. Not only is it far more effective to farm it solo normally outside of TW, but the TW reward box you get after the kill regardless of no lights has a much higher chance to drop the mount than from any other source.
