That would certainly be expected of someone in her position.
I just feel that from a story-telling point of view, stirring false exposition into the mix would be unwise. We have enough confusion in the community just processing the facts.
(then again, I suppose encouraging us to have a little doubt in the lore is healthy)
I don’t know where I have seen this story before. The leader was trying to get the support of the people, only to have an outside influencer say that the leader needs help. And when that didn’t work out, the leader was defiant. Then the leaders second in command backstabs them. And the leader then skips the line to become the new leader.
I have seen this before somewhere… Can’t put my finger on it.

So getting old god powers makes your race more human like? Seems like anime logic to me, the more powerful a non-human race gets the more human-like they get, don’t know why blizzard choose to do it this way but seems like a downgrade from the nerubians we know and love/hate.

Considering they were and are being influenced by Xal’atath, it kinda makes sense that she would “shape” them more in her image. But if I were to guess, it’s to make them potentially playable for later.

Yes, actually lol.
Humans, Gnomes, Dwarves were all robotic contructs and Curse of Flesh made them into what we have today.
It also gave them all free will.
Idk about specifically being bipedal though. But I guess the void can warp things into whatever they see fit.
