Have the Explorer of the Shadowlands achievement (requires killing every single rare spawn, and looting every treasure)
And like, Renown 40 with all 4 covenants, because with how alt-unfriendly they’ve made things so far, it just fits that they’d do something to make us feel like we had to level alts.
I also can’t get over the fact we won’t be able to fly in Oribos. Sure, the hallways you can’t mount in, but flying is still inherently faster than ground mounts, which are used plenty in Oribos.

I’d be very impressed if they just let us fly without any catch…very impressed.

There will be a catch of that we can be assured… Blizzard always plays corrupt a wish.

I want to steal the flight master’s worm. That thing knows how to fly! I will take it. Theft.
I could see them only allowing flying in your characters active covenant area - doesn’t matter if your alts have the other covenants.
Otherwise, requirements will probably be exalted with all covenant factions + the new coalition faction added in 9.1, and completion of the main story.
Maw will never have flying.
- 10,000 hours played in Shadowlands zones.
- All regions explored.
- Loremaster part one and two Shadowlands, with the addition of old world Loremaster.
- Completion of all Instance achievements.
- 1mil gold donated to the fund for needy forsaken (me, I feel so needy).
Seems fair and reasonable to me.

Don’t forget exalted with every faction of Shadowlands
Might as well throw that in the pile of chores
That’s 416 straight days of playing

I love that you worked it out!
Also love the jimjams!
But I think that would be fine, I mean it’s not like we do anything other than play WoW.
better that than Pathfinder
That would be a hard unsubscribe for a huge percentage of he playerbase. Blizzard would have to be insane to try to pull that off, and even more insane to figure out a way to spin it as “meaningful.”
I don’t mind about that. Maw will never have me either.

My guess since they said it will be tied to renown, not rep is that it will just be the final unlock at the end of the new renown cap. That way it’s hard gated for another three months after the patch goes live.
I’d also bet it’s per character now, not account wide since they made renown catch up so fast and easy.

If it is more complicated than “reach renown level X, unlocks account-wide”’, I think we’re going to have to sit down with the devs and do an intervention,
Account wide has been the default since this Pathfinder stupidity started.
If they take that away and force people to grind their eyeballs out on every single alt for flying, after they’ve set a three-expansion-long precedent? You guessed it. Mass unsubscribe.
Surely the devs are vaguely smart enough to remember their harsh lesson in WoD - if you screw with flying, you pay the price…
Sounds good to me, I’m always in the mood to burn down the forums with the rest of an angry mob lol.
Flying has arrived in the Shadowlands! Take flight with your favorite covenant to fight the forces of the Jailer and explore the beauty of the world from the air!
The only requirements are an active Shadowlands account, a level 61 character, and renown level 50!
We’ll see you in the skies, Maw Walkers!

Renown catch up isn’t a grind though. You can be caught up in a few days because when you are behind they throw renown at you like candy on Halloween.
They are already changing how it works, changing it from account wide to per character really isn’t much of a leap and in this case, not really much of a drawback.
Yes, it is. Especially for alts who won’t be spamming dungeons if that’s not their thing (it’s sure as hell not mine).
It’s a pretty big leap. And it would cost them dearly if they dared try it at this stage.
Hard and firm disagree on that one.
