This is sad. As far as I’m concerned, my account will be superior to others that get this achievement. Next up, an addon that scans other peoples accounts for this achievement and if it finds it, kicks them from the group.
I’d like them to just fix the game instead of even thinking about Esports. Eventually all there will be left is the 1% doing Esports at this rate.
Yeah, I had it muted in a tab for two and a half hours on Friday and still don’t have the “we’re begging you to please watch our crap esports” title.
Oh no, they’re going to see that I watch a lot of 12 hours of rain and thunder videos. The horror!
Anyway.
I watched all of day 2 on Saturday 9th of July. No achievement or title earned for doing so. I have linked my YouTube account to my BNet account too.
Thanks
Blizzard knows people aren’t interested in it so they are trying to bribe people to watch. I mean it’ll work for the players that chase titles but that’s about it.
These really do a great job of showing you which classes are insanely OP and which you shouldn’t be playing. lol
Im a prot warrior. lolol
They could at least do this somewhat interestingly: bid on tanks, bid on healers, bid on DPS. You see this in Scythe tournaments to get folks playing less “meta” combos. You bid on the combo you want, then if others want that class too, they bid over you - in Mythic+, it could be +5 seconds on your final time. In Arena, it could be a +3% damage taken debuff. Something small enough initially to not be an issue, but would add up quickly if multiple people want the same class.
Since everyone wants to play Destro/Mage/Rogue, the bids on those would go pretty high, whereas if someone had skills on something not-meta, they might wind up matching a Destro who’s taking +40% more damage… and suddenly its an interesting match again.
Bidding stops when no one bids over you for round (IE: the penalty is high enough to scare some people off).
titles for doing things outside the game?
thats a bad idea. i hope you wont make it a habit honestly.
100%. They’re really desperate for people to watch, I guess.
If they want people to watch, they really should make it interesting. No one wants to see a bunch of pros running FOTM specs/comps over and over.
Specially since the last time they tried this it was a mess, this time is no different.
Honestly just getting this title so I can use it whenever I afk in LFR.
It is beyond stupid there is no notification to know when you have watched 2 hours. And the achievement takes 48 hours to show up? What?
That’s right.
The notification is you getting the title in-game immediately after watching for 2 hours.
lol.
You have a Blizzard account and play WoW. I’m sure you have a gmail. You have either an Android or iPhone. You most likely have Facebook, possibly Twitter, Instagram, and/or TikTok. Don’t pretend you’re all high and mighty with your security. Every one of those businesses are run by selling your data. Your data is just as easily accessible as anyone else’s, and you should stop pretending otherwise. It’s like all the “anon’s” on Twitter, they use the same stupid quote, picture, or username from Facebook or some forum, or slip up in some other way. No one is anonymous. Your data is living it’s best life on the internet for sale to the highest bidder whether you link your already active Blizzard account to your already active YouTube account or not.
Obvs. But it’s not linked to anything. It’s not like YT or Google that tracks spending habits or where you go and what you do and for how long or anything of that. They know I play WoW. DUH
No.
I have a company iPhone that, because of our IT policies, I can’t really do anything with beyond texting and calling. Which is all I’d want to do with it anyway.
Failbook? No.
Twitter? Repeatedly proves it’s for idiots.
Insta? I eat my food, I don’t take pictures of it.
TikTok? Worse than Twitter for proving it appeals to the lowest of common denominators.
Congrats for making a ton of assumptions and failing every one.
They don’t track your spending habits, how long you play, hours you play, linked accounts (credit, paypal, bank, etc.), what you say in chat? You’re being dishonest, and once again, proving that you’re not as safe as you think you are.
More like you’re being dishonest, but okay.
I already have a ton of titles I don’t use. I can’t see how this one fits any of my characters.
The point is, it’s so trivial to get that your cat can watch it for you
Let the stream play for two hours and go watch something/play something else
I decided to play breath of the wild as the stream went, shocking how people can’t seem to do that
watched the whole live stream today, tab open, watched it, sound on all the things, battle.net account linked to my youtube, signed in, etc, no achieve or title in game
