This needs to be fixed.
My mage has the Crystal Scholar’s Cape. Not being a mage main, and the fact that the cape doesn’t have tier set bonuses, I didn’t realize it was still a part of the tier set.
So I went to change it into tier by mistake.
It wasted my charge doing literally nothing.
The catalyst should not be able to waste charges on items that are already tier. Sure I’m the one who made this mistake, but the mistake should not be allowed in the first place.
This he been addressed many times, even back in SL, and when you go to create the item, it shows you the final product, which with the cloak does not include tier bonuses.
There isn’t any fixing needed
There’s a 5s timer and a confirm click required before the catalyst does the conversion.
How many more checks need to be implemented to stop players from making simple mistakes?

When have cloaks ever been part of tier bonuses?

The lack of any sort of personal accountability is staggering.
What needs to be fixed? Is the several second message asking you to confirm broken? Is the large UI with the arrow pointing to what your piece will turn into displaying wrong info?
